We just switched over to Lotus from Taste of the Wild, just to give the dogs a change of pace. Glad we did, because they seem to really enjoy the new food! I always feel bad that they have to eat the same boring kibble

California Natural. Both of our dogs have food allergies and they've been eating this one for over a year and all their problems have gone away!

My dog eats Acana! I'm so glad we settled on that because we tried EVO, Wellness Core Ocean, and Orijen and none of them were quite right.

We don't have a dog anymore, but we fed Taste of the Wild. It got expensive FAST though, especially since we were buying for a Great Dane!

We use Blue Buffalo. She has a sensitive stomach though and spits up about once every couple of weeks, sometimes once a week, so sometimes I wonder if we should switch things up. But she really likes it and does well on it otherwise, so I'm not sure!

Acana! I was feeding taste of the wild (and LOVED it), but then they did the voluntary recall for possible salmonella contamination back in May.

I give them California Natural like @oahujeni because of allergies.

We switch between Wellness and Blue Buffalo. He gets a lot of fruit and veggies too though! He loves lettuce and spinach the most! We also add pumpkin or sweet potato to his meals a few times a week.

We feed Performatrin Grain Free (Canadian Brand). They love it and it really helped with out females skin problems

We switched from Royal Canin to Science Diet within the last couple weeks, she loves Science Diet so much better, she chows it down so fast. She also gets plenty of beef jerky & table food because she's a spoiled little bear! ha

We feed both kibble and raw. For kibble we feed California Natural Grain Free Kangaroo and Red Lentil. We mix in Nature's Variety or Primal venison. Sometimes we just feed kibble, sometimes we mix, sometimes it is just raw. Keeps them excited about food.

We feed him Orijen, he has a sensitive stomach and does ok with it but if anyone has more insight we are all ears!
@oahujeni and @babyboecksmom How do you determine if your dog has allergies? We haven't had him long (2 months) and getting his stomach settled is an ordeal!

@cole: our one dog threw up several times a week when we were feeding him a food that had a list of ingredients a mile long (I can't remember which one but it was a cheapo brand.) The vet recommended we give him California Natural because it only has 3 main ingredients plus vitamins. Luckily that worked and he must not be allergic to any of those ingredients. It can take some time with trial and error, but go to a local holistic pet food store and they can give you samples of different foods to try.

Whatever they sell at Costco. Our dog will eat anything, and has zero health or weight issues. He's easy.

He used to eat acana and then we switched to Orijen. Right now we are trying the Kirkland grain-free dog food and he's been ok so far!

We feed our Lab the JD Diet from Prescription Diet. You can only get it at vet offices. He's getting older, so the JD Diet food has a ton of fish oil in it and helps combat his arthritis.
Before we switched him to that, he ate Natural Choice.

these all sound like great foods! for our corgi pup, napoleon, we fed him Wellness for ages. a few years ago, we switched to Primal Raw nuggets and he's been happier than i've ever seen him

Purina Pro-Plan (on the recommendation of the breeder we got our Newfie from)

@Thehistoryofus: We used to feed raw (as in the frozen patties like Nature's Variety) but we stopped because our dog likes to take food out of his bowl and bring it elsewhere to eat, and it started to get messy! He did really well on the raw diet though!
We now rotate around different Orijen and Acana flavors.

I can't remember the brand, but it has kibble and pieces of chicken in it. We just make sure the first couple of ingredients aren't a filler.

Chicken Soup right now, but we're going to try to transition to the Costco brand.

i used to feed them natural balance until there was a recall. then i switched to wellness, but it made their poop kind of sticky. then i started using merrick. that was going well, until they changed their formula and we had poop problems again. so now we plunk our money down for NOW (a canadian food from petcurean). whew!
