I always get Amazon gift cards because I order so many things from there. I am buying a bunch of stuff now. I love to think that I am getting "free" stuff!

Flights and Amazon gift cards. At Christmas we give $100 Amazon gift cards to some friends/family as gifts - the gift cards are free to us by using our points. We also buy "free" stuff on Amazon (we have the Amazon Chase rewards card).

Usually we use them for travel, often we use it as an "emergency travel" savings account. If they run a special though for extra money back for certain gift cards we will do that (like 10% bonus on Starbucks or Amazon, places where you don't usually get a discount.)

American express giftcards. We figure this way we can use it on anything. We usually save our points till we have a vacation that way we use it for meals and shopping.

We got our car seat and crib using points, along with carpet and paint for the nursery. Now i use them for smazon and saks cards.

On my card I get cash back. Hubs gets points, and so far we've bought a new knife set and a tire pump. Super exciting, I know!
ETA: On my old card, I got American Airlines miles, and we used those for our honeymoon. I've since cancelled that card, though, because the interest rate was RIDICULOUS.

My husband is so boring, we just put the money towards our December bill. I want to see it and feel it! He wants to let it work itself out. Boring. Haha.

We just got a Lowes gift card. We need a new dish washer.

Groceries. I have one that's for the grocery store. I 'cash it in' as soon as it can cover an entire bill. ($100 for us)

I haven't redeemed my points yet, but I would guess probably cash back or something related to traveling (e.g. flights or hotels).
