Not planning my life around someone's feeding schedule...someone who likes to eat every 3 hours.

Sleep. Every thing else I can handle and I love caring for her. But my goodness I miss the weekends where I would sleep like 12 hours straight. And I have a REALLY good sleeper. I don't know what I'd do if my baby woke up every 3 hours at night.

Sleep! He is waking up every three hours or so lol. I also miss my waist/stomach, being able to do things without half listening to the monitor, and not being in constant back pain. He's worth it and I love him to bits but I definitely miss those things!

@MamaMoose: me too, I feel bad complaining when my LO is a pretty decent sleeper. There's just something about not getting out of bed until YOU are ready though. If I could sleep uninterrupted right now, I feel like I'd be passed out for a good week straight.

I miss just being able to run out of the house to go do stuff or run errands. Oh and eat dinner with DH uninterrupted. Now we have to tag team eating. I eat while he tends to the baby and then we switch.

@littlecasita1122: hear hear! my life revolves around my boobs.
@mrskc: sounds like dinner time at my house too!

Sleep! My LO is not a great sleeper so I really do miss the long stretches of uninterrupted sleep. I also miss being able to run errands whenever I wanted and/or with the hubby. Now, we usually plan it so one of us stays home with her because it is easier.

Being able to wear clothes without considering boob access! The few times I've gotten dressed up to go out in the couple months since J arrived, it's felt so nice to wear "grown up" clothes and feel fully human again. Also being able to fit into my clothes - going to sign up for a gym membership today and start working on that in the new year!

I never was one that enjoyed my sleep and have always lived on very little of it, but man do I miss it now. I think I miss the fact that I can't just sleep when I want to. And showering. I'd love to be able to take a super long beauty shower whenever I want.

@mrskc: Same here. Just being able to run errands and get stuff done without having to figure out baby logistics.

Being able to run out of the house easily, having time to work out, and being able to go out with DH and our friends in the evenings w/out needing a babysitter.

The ability to be selfish. And, I worried a lot less pre children.

My body, getting to hop online whenever I want, running quick little errands, having a clean house. Despite all of that, we always talk about how we couldn't imagine life without LO.

mostly being able to go wherever I want whenever I want without having to consider anything other than what I want. I have no idea what I did with all my time before she came because now I feel so busy all the time and I didn't feel any less busy before I had a baby but clearly I had much less going on.

Going out to dinner. And going on vacation without worrying about how long the flight is, how difficult a place will be to navigate with a baby, etc.

Sleeping in and having the time to meet my own needs for rest. I'm really glad that I lost (most of) the weight and really worked on myself intensively for a few years before I had a kid. I really needed to do those things, and they would be waaaaaaaaay harder now.

Going out at night and sleeping in/lounging around on weekends.
