I haven't had a haircut since before I was pregnant so, it's time! A friend of mine referred me to a stylist who is pricey but apparently does a really good job. She charges $60 for a cut! Yikes! I usually spend about $40 at Mitchell's but I really need some help. I figure since I haven't had my hair cut in over a year, I can splurge a little.
What do you spend on haircuts?

I get my cut about every 5 months for $15 at great clips - yea, spending money on hair is VERY low on priority list lol! I have a simple one length cut with my natural color so its pretty hard to screw up

$35- I love my stylist! I always tip as well. We live in rural burbs so that is considered $$ around here. Most people go to the chain stores where it's $10-13 a cut

For my last one I spent $50 (tip included) and it was the worst haircut I've ever had. I walked into a well-known, reputable salon and asked for someone good and my hair ended up super uneven and way shorter than I asked! (this is a big deal when your hair is below chin length--every inch counts) They fixed it for free because I complained, but it was so short already that they had to go even shorter and made a little tail thing in the back. And I tipped that guy $20 because I don't think he got paid for doing the cut. I waited a month and had DH even out the back for me/cut off the tail and I was so angry about the wasted money, RAWR! So now I don't know what I spend because I have to find someone reliable before I get it cut again.

I used to go to a place that was $25, but it's too far since we moved. I just tried a new stylist that I really like, she was $55 + $10 tip. Since I only go once every 6-8 months, I figure its ok. I cut DH's hair, otherwise his was $20 every 3-4 weeks, so I spurge his savings on my hair. =)

this is pretty pricy where I am. It is at the highest end salon in our area. CanT imAgine paying more in other areas! Yikes!

$35 then tip - I go to Chinatown and just get my hair cut there and get a mini shoulder massage - love it!

The last time I went, it was $30 + tip. I am getting my haircut again at the same place next week but a different stylist, hopefully they charge the same!

I've never had a haircut without a dye job so I'm not sure. $200+ for the dye and cut though. But I usually just grab my ponytail and trim trim it myself.

$28+ tip and he's awesome. I switched back to my old salon (had a stylist there who was $30, she moved, I couldn't get an appointment when I needed one with the new stylist so I ended up going to a new salon for a while) after paying $50 for haircuts that were just OK.

$60 + tip, and it was worth it to me because I don't go often and loved my stylist...but just found out she left the salon!! I understand why they can't tell their clients before they leave, but it still stinks!!

I'm in the same boat as @anonysquire: .
I've never paid UNDER $200, but I always get my hair colored when I go for cuts. I want to say the cut alone is around $60-70, and the rest is color.
I do typically only go every 4 - 5 months, and in between, I trim it myself.
