I've never seen one that long, but I had my hair similar (but shorter) before and I loved it! makes my face look less round, which is always good.

My hair was like that (shorter!) in college. I LOVED it but it was such a pita to grow out! I'll have to find a picture

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I had one as well in college and it really was a bitch to grow it!! It seemed like it took forever for the shorter back pieces to get to a good length and you have to get it cut often to maintain a good shape.

@MrsKoala: yes, exactly! I also dyed my hair fire engine red and had the stylist put on bleached, black and dark red streaks. It was the best hair I've ever had.
It was a mother to grow out and dye blonde!

I love it & you got me thinking that I may like my hair this way...I'm still considering it but a hairstylist friend pointed out that it may be annoying because both pieces in the front may not always lay the same way....
ETA: I was spacing & accidentally typed I love you instead of I love it lol

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I'd LOVE to see that hair! It sounds sassy! lol

@MsLipGloss: I like it. My BFF has this cut. Grown out from something similar to @Mrs. Jump Rope: . Is your hair short now? It is a bit of maintenance to get it to *fall* correctly and look good. If you are used to that then I say go for it!
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@Reese: no my hair is pretty long now. That short cut was in 2006.
Eta: just realized you weren't speaking to me LOL

@Reese: My hair is not short at all . . . it is to the middle of my back with a few layers around my face. I have fine--but thick--hair.
ETA: It takes so long to blow dry . . . and one of my friends told me my hair was pretty, but that she thought my personality could handle some *edge* to my hair. I think that's a compliment?

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Haha I just reread my message - it is totally confusing. I love your hair, though!

@MsLipGloss: I found this cut easiest to style with surfs up by garnier. I used a round brush with my dryer (in the picture) but sometimes also ran my flat iron through it so have it be "edgier". I have pics too but it was my emo phase & I'm making faces...

@MsLipGloss: I think it is a compliment I have similar hair to you. Mine is long - I remember cutting it short and it waves in one direction (like wind is hitting me from the side) so I would constantly need to roll the one side inward/not flipping out like crazy. Is that clear? probably not.

I tried a shorter bob similar to that back in HS. I loved it! But it took me way too long to style it everyday.

@Reese: I have a good bit of natural wave to my hair . . . but my ends seem to (generally) cooperate and *go* in the direction I want them to.

@MsLipGloss: I think it'd look really good with your face shape!

For those of you who say you *couldn't pull it off* . . . why don't you think so?
pomegranate / 3521 posts
@MsLipGloss: It's settled then! You MUST post after pics! *bangs gavel*
To answer your question.. I couldn't do it because I lurve long hair and the options it gives me.I can half ass blow dry it (because it takes SO long to fully do it) and it still falls nicely... but I DO get the itch every once in a while. Maybe this summer

@MsLipGloss: Do it!!! If you don't like how it looks, hair grows back!
I don't think it'd work for me bc I have a rooound face.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@chopsuey: whatchutawkinboutwillis? your face is not rooound.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@chopsuey: I'm definitely leaning that way (toward the cut) . . . but if I don't like it, you can't be taunting me with your Pantene/Breck commercial girl worthy hair, yo. I am fra-gee-lay!
@Reese: And yeah, the *itch* is getting to me!
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@Reese: ya -- it definitely was a highmaintemce hairstyle. I miss it, though. I feel boring with my long hair!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@MsLipGloss: haha layers + hair in my face helps mask the round!
yaaay!! can't wait to see it!
you, me, @smurfette need to have a mom's night out soon!

I had a shoulder-length version in college. That long one seems pretty cute, but I think it always needs to be styled or can tend to look raggedy?
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@shopaholic: yeah, it might! I would have to keep the ends styled (probably rolled with a little product). and there's no hair from the back to push forward over your shoulders.
pomegranate / 3503 posts
It's super cute - both the long and short version. I've never tried that style though because my hair tends to be wavy at the ends so I like less structured styles.

@chopsuey: @MsLipGloss: I am in ladies!! And @MsLipGloss: I think it would look great on you.
