we have one and it is not my favorite. I find the flaps a pain to deal with and the poop....i have not found a half decent way to get all the poop off both flaps!

I love our 4.0s though!

We are doing a newborn rental (bumgenius AIOs) and then plan to transition to Freetimes whenever LO is big enough. So curious to follow what other people think. The CD store near us said not to buy them now, but wait until LO is big enough and then rent a couple to see fit. I'm also not excited about the poop/flap situation but we are planning on using liners after 6 months so hoping that will help.

They aren't my favorite diaper! They fit my daughter really wide in the crotch...even at 15 months. We started using them around 4 weeks.

@MrsCB: Yes and yes! I think the Freetimes will be great eventually from what I've read, but maybe not for newborn size. They told us this weekend to not expect them to fit before around 12 lbs. And they have a rental program where they give you 8 dipes for $35 to try out for 2 weeks I think to see which fit best, and then when you bring them back I think you can use $15 toward a credit to buy new ones. You should call them or go visit and discuss the options, they are a great resource. They also told us their return policy is only 90 days so if we were to buy them now (33 weeks), by the time the policy expired LO would only be like 4 weeks old and not fitting into them anyway, so we are holding off buying our stash. Our NB AIO rental goes for 8 weeks with the option to extend to 12 weeks if we need them to, so we'll just go back to Diaper Lab when we're closer to needing our own stash. I feel lucky we have a store like that nearby so we don't have to make all these decisions 'alone'!

ETA Diaper lab actually also has their own newborn rental program, but I didn't like the terms as much as the one we picked.

I'm also doing a cloth diaper rental for newborns, then all Freetimes!

I like the Freetimes that we have - they're not my favourite, but DH prefers them and they work well at night. I like the Fuzzi Bunz one size elite, I think they're a lot trimmer and I like pockets best.

@jetsa: I'm not renting, per say, but my city has a diaper delivery service that I'm planning on using during the newborn period. I thought it would be nice to not have to worry about washing diapers when I'm learning the ropes of parenting and I don't want to use disposables if I can help it.

@jetsa: we are renting because its way cheaper than investing in a stash of diapers we will only need for 8 weeks. We are getting 36 BG AIOs for like $80.
