I can't decide if I like it or not... I'm definitely in love with the price, though!
We want to get a 9 ft tree, but most of those are SO expensive. DH found this and I think it's it's a little too skinny. It has 1,602 tips, which is close to what I would see on the more expensive trees.
What do you think?

The thing to look for is the number of tips! I found ours at Lowes.

I don't love the quality of the trees from Wal-Mart. The one we had when we lived in an apartment looked really fake and shed tons, but it was all we could afford when we got it. We were on the hunt for a 9 ft artificial tree last year and the nicest ones were at hardware stores. I was shocked by the price when we were looking, but decided to go for it since we'll have the tree for years.

I had a pencil tree last year, it was skinny and I liked it because it looked good in the little area I had for it. If it is in the middle of a big open room they feel a little skimpy.
Craft stores have good trees if you decide against that one! (I like it, though!)

That is definitely meant to be a slim tree, like for a corner or the angle of a staircase? If you're putting it in a more open spot I'd say maybe look for a wider tree...

I agree with PP--if it's going in a small space I think it would be fine, but if it's going in a big, open room I think it's too skinny.

Here's a picture of where it would go, using our old tree. (Sorry for the bad visual - we've painted over the blue since then and the old tree is on a coffee table to prevent our large dogs from knocking the ornaments off with their tails).

I think I prefer fuller trees, but we don't have the space for one either.

I think a skinny tree would look great in the space! The tree looks nice in the picture but it's hard to tell without seeing it in person, you know? I bought our tree from Walmart 5+ years ago and it's held up well enough :).

I personally prefer fat trees over tall and skinny. 
edit: but I agree. I think in the space you have it would look good!

@Mrs. Pen, @chopsuey119: I like the full trees, too, which is why I'm not sure about getting the skinny one, but I don't think a full 9 ft tree would even fit in that space. I guess I could always get another one later if I change my mind, right?

Ok here it is! It's super bright! It needs some more ornaments but other than that, what do you think? What else should I add? Does it fit in the space?

@BabyBoecksMom: OMG I love it!!!! I wasn't sold on the idea until I got to the bottom and saw how it looked, it's perfect for that space, SERIOUSLY. Throw away the receipt. (ok not really, but you don't NEED it!) it looks awesome (and makes me jealous!)

Awww - thanks everyone!! I'm happy w/ the way it turned out. Who knew a $150 9ft tree could turn out like that?
The one they had on display didn't have the branches fluffed out, so it looked really scraggly. I was scared that it would look like that once we got it home, but after an hour of fluffing all the branches, it looked like a nice, full tree. And I put some "Scentsicles" on it so the whole house smells like a real tree

I suggest you go to a walmart and look at a similar tree of the same brand up close (Even if it isn't the 9 footer). Just to make sure you like the quality of it--all trees look great from 10 feet away.
We finally found our tree at menards--it's a 7.5 footer and isn't pre-lit. I liked it because it had 'real looking' branches on it, instead of just the plastic fray ones that a lot of trees have...
