Right now we use the Skip Hop Duo dipper bag, it's small and I like that. My last one was JJ Cole and it was just too big. I'm thinking of switching to a backpack soon, I like the convienece of it. What about you?

Honestly, we use a school backpack! We take the bus a lot, so it's so much easier to travel with than a traditional diaperbag.

For most of the first year I just used a big purse - I bought a little makeup bag that was big enough for a few diapers and a pack of wipes. Now we usually use a backpack. I'm thinking once the second one arrives I'm going to need something new.

We have a Le Sportsac diaper bag that we use for bigger adventures (like all day outings). It's roomy and I am carry most of the necessities no problem.
For his first birthday he got this small Mickey Mouse backpack and we've been using that more and more. It's just big enough to fit a few diapers, pack of wipes, a book, snacks and water cup. So we use that if we're going to a class or the park or shopping. Any short outing or if I'll be alone taking public transportation and can't manage a big bag and him.

We have the skip hop duo, as well, but I'm not sure what to do when DS is born. I wonder if I'll need something roomier!

I have a Jujube Be Prepared. Right now it's a bit bigger than I need, but I think once I'm carrying toys, snacks, and larger diapers and clothes I'll fill it up. DH picked it out for me. If I had bought it myself I might have gone with the BFF.

I have a Lily Jade bag and I love it! Doesn't look like a diaper bag at all which is important to me. But it's very roomy. Right now probably too big since DD is only 3 months but I think all those pockets will come in handy soon enough!

Just bought a Lug diaper bag. It looks a tiny bit small, but I really like the pockets

A Longchamp tote if I need all my stuff. A Longchamp backpack if I'm living dangerously.

I had an OiOi diaper bag but I'm extremely disappointed with it as it was looking very rough after just 16 months and the stroller strap was starting to break. Now I just use a little cotton tote for the diaper stuff that goes under the stroller and have a large tote bag for myself. I occasionally throw a few diapers and wipes into my tote if we aren't going far.

I got a Kate Spade (not sure of the name but not the Stevie) as a gift. It does the job and looks pretty but I am not a fan ....there are no pockets, it shows dirt like crazy and had a hard time being clean. It's basically a bottomless pit. I would have preferred the more functional and way less costly Lug Tuktuk

Timi and Leslie the Hannah bag. I love it. It has held up so we with two children close together in age, holds a tons of crap without being overly big and doesn't look like a diaper bag.

@SweetiePie: us too! We bought a le sports sac diaper bag. It looks perfect but we haven't used it yet. Five days!! (Fingers crossed ...).

I have a Kate Spade Stevie and it's been great for two kids. Lots of space and easy to clean.

I use a Kipling Ravier backpack. I have a 2.5 year old and a almost 4 month old. I love how I can be hands free and it's light, easy to clean, and comes in fun colors!

North Face backpack. DH and I each have one and leave them in our cars.

@wrkbrk: I really like it! It's the most common bag I've seen in NYC, most of my mom friends recommended it. I liked some of the patterned ones a lot but just went with black because I figure it'll be more versatile and my husband wouldn't mind carrying it I got my sister a really pretty floral pattern for her daughter and she also loves the bag.
I don't think you'll be disappointed in it

I have a Tom Bihn diaper bag, and I love it! It's a messenger style bag, and there are so many compartments. It's comfortable while worn and gender neutral.

I'm cheap, haha. I'm planning to use my Thirty One zip-top organizing utility tote. It has lots of pockets around the outside and it seems like a good size for the random stuff we'll be lugging around. I guess I'll find out how well it works once baby girl arrives!

For the bottomless pit of junk during the newborn days we used my Kate Spade but now we use the Skip Hop duo in black. It was originally DH's dad bag but now we just use it for everything. There's plenty of room left in it with a few diapers and what not so I'm hoping it will work for two as I get less paranoid about stuff as a STM.

I have the Jujube BFF and I really like it. I also have a diaper clutch from Etsy that goes in it that I can grab if I just want diapers and wipes.

I found a Ju-ju-be BFF on clearance at BBB, but I like the BRB (backpack) a bit better. Those will be my everyday bag. I heard some moms (JJB lovers) switch between the BRB and the BFF. I did buy a used Be prepared from the Ju-ju-be B/S/T FB group. It's a bigger bag and I heard its good for twins or mom's with 2 kids or more. I'm thinking it will be great for longer trips out.

@Mrs. Pickle: If you want to get a BFF for a decent price, you should check out the JJB B/S/T FB group. There's this new print coming out very very soon and people are selling their bags at below retail prices. I got a legacy print Be prepared for a great price. Check out steals.com they have some BFFs and other styles. Quick tip, if you put it in your cart and not buy it, they sometimes email you a 15% code to buy your cart. I just found that trick out recently. Or if you wanted to try it, ebags.com has JJB and has free returns. You can use a 15% off coupon and then 8% back through ebates. Then return it if you don't like it.
