It's mosquito season here in humid, hot MI. The bugs are everywhere at my parents and my in-laws! What toddler-safe sprays, etc. do you recommend to keep the bug bites at bay?

I've been using Babyganics Natural Insect Repellent, but it's pretty greasy. I'd love to hear what everyone else is using!

we just use cutter with deet. i have a strong penchant for getting bit by mosquitoes and natural stuff does not help me--unfortunately it looks like my son has inherited my trait, so i started using deet-based products after trying some natural stuff.

We use Honest Company's bug spray. It seems like it's working so far. And it smells OK too.

I use off. The mosquitoes are horrible here! Clip ons have been great.

i think ours is also babyganics. I read that mosquito hate peppermint and aloe. so maybe you can put some aloe on your LO?

For my toddler I use All Terrain Herbal Armor for Kids. For my baby, I use an Off Clip On fan hooked to her stroller or my carrier. Both have worked well!

Still pregnant over here, but we went camping last weekend and my husband was concerned about the DEET in the repellent we normally use. One night I tried a lemon eucalyptus spray which actually worked pretty well and spelled okay (better than DEET but not exactly super pleasant). The other night I tried the Off Clip On and it didn't work as well. I got two bites. But I guess I could have gotten more without the Off Clip On. Regardless, the refills are expensive, so I don't think we'll be using that again. We were also burning citronella candles, so that may have helped, as well.

I've tried:
Babyganics - worked, but is really greasy
Burt's Bees - greasy and I swear it attracted more bugs than it repelled
California Baby - not greasy at all, smells great, works pretty well
Off Clip Ons - these seem to work well on some types of mosquitos and not others, so depending on where we are they work or not
I'm going to try the Honest Co this summer, but so far my fav has been the California Baby one.

Swamp gator! Bothy children and I use it. Good stuff.
