I love it so far! My phone is only three months old but it's been through quite a bit of abuse already bc of LO. It's been dropped, chewed, licked, etc and its held up great so far!

I have a speck case and have been really happy with it. It's white with pink details so it does get kind of dirty sometimes but it's easy to clean. I had an otterbox with my 4s. That's undoubtedly more protection but it's also way uglier and so bulky. I've dropped my phone a few times with the speck case and haven't had any issues. Even the case is still in one piece, though the back is a little scratched up.

I have an ifrogz case. Got at Best Buy. Super light weight but has held up the couple times I have dropped it.

My iphone4 was black and had a black soft rubber HD Pixel case. I loved it. I dropped it so many times and nothing ever happened to it. (I do always use screen protectors, too. So I'm sure that helped prevent scratches)

It's so pretty. I love what it looks like. I did drop it yesterday and my heart stopped when I did. (It was the first time I dropped it.) Since my last case for my iphone 4 was soft rubber, you didn't hear the drop; but since the uncommon case is made out of hard plastic, it sounded like something broke. I was really afraid something bad happened. Nope, all is good. I think hearing that hard plastic from the case is still going to freak me out.

The one downside to the case is I hear it's very hard to impossible to remove the case once it's on the phone. I don't change my cases, so it's fine for me. Other than that the reviews say that it's a good case that will protect the phone. It was worth the $35, I spent on it. (Ouch, I think that's the most I've ever spent on a phone case. Although, I've purchased a lot of cases over the years to find the right one, so I probably spent that much in the end.)

The uncommon website has some very pretty cases, too. You can customize it and make your own case, too.

@mrskc: No, the buttons are not covered. Oh, I'm just a cheapo when it comes to buying phone accessories. haha. I'm still a little annoyed that I have to buy new charging cords or an adapter for our phones now. I love getting new phones where I don't have to buy new accessories. I'm hoping iphone keeps their lightning charging cord for at least a couple more years.

I have a lifeproof case. Not nearly as bulky as the otterbox. And it's waterproof for when DS decides to chew on it

Otterbox. Not pretty but effective.
