I'm playing around with bedtimes for E. We were putting her down much later like 9:00 or 10:00 Last night I put her down at 7:00 and she slept 5 straight hours. She's acting fussy already right now for bed though, it's pretty early still I think. What time did/does your infant go to sleep? Did that bedtime change over a few months, as they got older? What time do you start their bedtime routine?

Before 12 weeks her bedtime was 8 (we'd start routine around 7:15/7:30). Around 12 weeks we moved it up to 7 and we now start her routine between 6:20 and 6:30.

We have always tried for a 7-7.30 bedtime. The first few months it felt like it took 1-2hrs to get her down because she could not fall asleep alone.

Until she was about 4 months she had a late bedtime, around 9/10pm. She would sleep through until 8 the next morning though so I wasn't too anxious to change it.
When she reached 4 months old she began consolidating her naps and pushing her bedtime earlier by an hour every few weeks until she settled on a 7pm bedtime by 6 months . It was one area where we truly followed her lead .
These days we start her bedtime routine around 6:30 and she is in bed by 7:00.

I don't remember at all..I think the earlier days it was later, but I know by 3 months (cause of Christmas) she was in bed by 7-730! I remember rushing to get out of my grandparents to get her home for bed.

A is 8 weeks and we aim for 930-10. He usually will go until 3-4 after that. So I think if I did any earlier he would just wake up earlier and then get up for the day even earlier. I don't know though....
We usually start bedtime routine 60 to 90 mins after his last nap. That includes bath/warm towel/lotion bottle of pumped milk and he goes to sleep easily.

Oh boy, I wish she'd go down that early. Out of the 3, my 12 year old goes to bed the earliest, weird! I get from work/pick-up late so we don't eat dinner until 7:30-8 most nights, so bed time for the 2yo and 9 month old are 8:45-9.

9pm and she sleeps through night. I think ours are a couple weeks apart. I'll move her bedtime up in a couple months.

Later like 9/10 until 12 wks them a gradual move towards 730/7 by 4 mos

We've been starting bedtime routine at 7, in bed by 8 since both LOs were really young...we started DS at 5 weeks and DD at like 3 weeks.

LO has always been an 8-9 gal. We aim for 8:30 but plenty of nights she's not ready til 9.
