It says $7.40 here in MI, which I find weird that it's less in NY, considering cost of living here is much less.

WA... $9.19 Surprising considering we don't have a state income tax. Though, I haven't had an hourly job in a long time. I'm a salaried employee.

$7.25 in TX. (It was $5.15 when I was in college 10 yrs ago! That seems like a pretty good jump to me)

Another Ontarian here, so $10.25. Canadian dollar has been at or above par for a couple years now. At the current exchange rate, $10.25 CAD = $10.41 USD

10.25 here in BC, cost of living is higher in Canada though, so I'm not sure how big the difference really is.

Yep, 10.25$ here in Ontario - although technically where I live, Quebec, it's 9.90$ right now & going up to 10.15$ May 1st. I live across the river though so we work/shop/etc in Ontario & live in Quebec.
But I'm fairly sure we get more taken off in Fed. Tax & cpp/ei.
