I keep seeing people mention Pinterest but what exactly is it and how do I start? Can you just sign up for it??

yep! just go to pinterest.com. it's a online "community" of sorts, where you collect little tidbits from around the web... like, crafts you want to try, decor you like, helpful baby-related articles. you pin pictures to different boards, and then you can go back later and track back to the website where you found the information. i'm addicted!

It is the place where projects go to die. I pin a ton of stuff, but have neither the time nor tools to do 99% of them!

Is there any way to un-link your pinterest account from your real name / facebook account? I signed up, but then I saw that it was under my real name. I don't want everyone to know what I've pinned (esp. baby stuff!).

I love Pinterest. I think the only downside to Pinterest is it can make you feel inadequate. Not always, but sometimes it's like my house will never be as pretty as what I see on there. Or my Christmas decorations aren't "pinterest worthy." Does anyone else feel ever feel like that?

@tana_bk: YES. i love it, and 50% of the time i feel so inspired, but the other 50% of the time i feel ridiculously inadequate. i try not to spend too much time on there, and concentrate on what i can ACTUALLY accomplish.
