I'm at CD32 at the moment and definitely have not ovulated, even took an HPT and BFN, just in case. I do tend to have longer cycles (29, 32, 39, 33, 33 - since i came off BCP). I charted last 2 cycles, and this cycle (stupid me) i decided to not chart - then I only started temping a couple days ago because I was so frustrated with all the negatives I was getting on my OPK. I'm getting real impatient, I seem to be getting patches of EWCM and not O'ing - I don't take any medications, I have no known diagnosis (no PCOS or anything of the sort) - could i develop PCOS all of a sudden??

my cycles are a lot more "regular" now that i exercise consistently, but before i got into running about 2 years ago, it wasn't uncommon for me to have 2 months between periods a couple of times a year. now my typical cycles are about 38 days (why i say "regular" but it's normal for me). i had a 53 day cycle once this year. i mentioned in another thread that i asked my doctor to look for PCOS before, and they said i didn't have it, but it was possible which was really annoying

currently on CD46 of my longest cycle ever, FF says I ovulated at CD31... Before this, I averaged 34 day cycles and usually ovulate around day 18-19. I have absolutely no idea what happened this time around, I don't really fit the criteria for PCOS (except maybe 'thin'-PCOS which is rare) So I have no explanation of what's going on.

my longest has been 100+ days, haha. i'm no help! sorry! so frustrating, hope it shortens & brings you a BFP soon! have you tried taking vitex to shorten/bring on O? something to look into if you haven't =) )

i had a 52 day cycle out of nowhere several months ago - before and after i have a regular 29-30 day cycle, though.
i totally made my doctor do every test possible during the long one, ultrasounds, blood tests, you name it, it happened.
when i first came off of BCP it was a little more wonky - how long have you been off of it?

CD58 right now and counting. I stopped BC in Sept, so I'm letting this ride until after New Years before I see my doctor. Before BC, 35-42 days was pretty normal for me.

I came off BC at the end of October, and still nothing. I have been temping b/c I was super worried this would happen, and FF shows no O or anything.

45-50 days when I was trying to for #2! I was still able to get pregnant after a few cycles, though!

This one! I'm currently on Day 43 and my cycles have been similar lengths as yours. OPKs showed I was gearing up to go while flying to the South Island for a weekend so I didn't bother doing anything more... Stupid me! The weekend was unexpectedly stressful and so was the week after it so now I'm wondering whether I have had delayed O. Had some symptoms on 1st of Dec so we BD then and have BD with some regularity since but if we get knocked up this cycle it will be a Christmas miracle!!
If AF hasn't arrived I plan on POAS next Saturday. That will make it CD 50! -
@mrs. bird: are there any side effects to taking vitex?? i have not tried any supplements, other than folic acid.
@pastaandpotato: i've been of BCP since the end of May!! I thought my cycle stabilized at 33 days but no. Today is CD32 and another negative OPK! EWCM has gone it seems like, as well.
When should I ask a doctor about it?

i do have to add, i have had an especially stressful november. the aftermath of dealing with Sandy, 3 pregnancy announcements, SO much fighting with DH - so i know that could be a factor but this is just especially long!!!!

@chibee: I'd ask a doctor if your cycle has been two months long - I know that's an awfully long time to wait but an annovulatory cycle might take that extra time to reboot your body. That's my plan!

Yes this is so reassuring! I'm currently on first cycle after going off BCP and it's been so weird. Prior to BCP I used to be a regular 28day machine.

When I used to run consistently, I would sometimes only get 2 - 3 cycles a year. Somehow they regulated and I now get cycles every 28 - 31 days (unless I'm pregnant, which I am now..)

My longest was 60 days. This month I'm on track for 43 day cycle - it was out of the blue, all my other ones this year were around 30 days. I've heard it's normal to have a long cycle at least once a year, so don't be concerned. It is frustrating though.

My longest was 58 days. When I saw the doctor about it she said they wouldn't be concerned until it hit 90 days. That seemed ridiculous to me!!!!

@sslm: my dr won't talk to me about a cycle that's running too long until i hit 80 days, which sucks while TTC and having almost all my cycles that long =( seems crazy to me too!

when i got my BFP, i O'd on CD42. had i not gotten my BFP, i would have been looking at a 54 day cycle!

Wow! The longest cycle I ever had was only 31 days and it felt like an eternity! My cycles are usually 25-28 days long.
I do know a girl who would regularly get 80+ day cycles though. I can't even imagine....

Your cycles aren't long at all. Normal cycles can actually be up to 35 days. My "regular" cycle was about 35 days... then I got one that was 42 days. Then the one after was 86 days!!! After that, I did go back down to around 31 or 32 days before I got my BFP.
Temping can definitely help. If no one's recommended it to you before, look into reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. That's our bible around here!

Well, looks like this cycle for me will be around 48-49 days! I got my first positive OPK yesterday at CD33. That's definitely my longest by far, normal for me is 33 days. Cannot wait for my cycles to get back to normal, or a BFP this round would be nice!

100 days. My "short" cycles are 42 days apart.
