Like, internet trolling?
It's when someone goes onto a forum/social media and starts a posts specifically aimed to cause drama.

Maybe I can help you out, as a bit of a troll myself. Someone who is annoying just to get a reaction. Super annoying, but super hilarious. I wouldn't ever say it's the same thing as cyber bullying or anything. Just harmless stuff.
Or other things like sometimes I make fake facebook profiles with my friends profile pic and name on it and then start acting like them, and everyone gets confused.
Also can be a form of stalkery. FInd someones real name, look up their phone number and surprise them with a prank call.
It also could be mean or nagative comments on posts maybe but I don't do that. I only troll my troll friends or people from political pages.

I was going to say its fishing from a really slow moving boat. Guess thats a different kind of trolling

@anonysquire: it is not super hilarious for me when people do it on one of my sites.

@anonysquire: I am extremely uncomfortable about how you casually joke about something which has destroyed many websites. Your minimization of the effects of trolling as "harmless stuff" is wildly off base.
Tracking down people's real names and phone numbers and making prank calls? Wow.
Or maybe you're just trolling me. The sort of behavior you've described tears at the trust between community members. A community that trusts and cares for each other is so central to what we're trying to build here at Hellobee.
You clearly aren't considering how your "harmless" jokes affect others.

@anonysquire: I'm definitely with @MrBee on this one. Trolling is never okay. It sounds like what you are describing as "harmless" is just when you prank somebody who you're close friends with, someone you'd feel comfortable pranking in real-life. That's fine, but that's not how most people use the term. For most people, trolling on the internet is acting in a fake manner (like, expressing controversial opinions you don't really believe) just to stir people up and get angry responses. Never okay.
And, like Mr. Bee, I'm wondering if you're trolling us with this very response, since the things you just said are bound to get a lot of people agitated and maybe even pulled into an argument. Kind of exactly how trolling works.

@mrbee: @PawPrints: Wow, if everyone is so uncomfortable I will leave. Thanks.
For the record I haven't done anytihing here. I have joked around, but that is my personality. There have been a lot cattier comments from others...

@anonysquire: I never said you did anything, and you are welcome to stay.
I was just sharing my feelings about the substance of your comment about trolling above.

Whoa I didn't know people take it to that level. I hope nobody can find my phone number!
As far as the posting to get angry comments goes, it can be annoying, but unlike people in real life, Internet threads are easy to avoid, just click away. It's not very classy but it doesn't bother me too much...

@googly-eyes: that freaks me out too! I can ignore obnoxious posts for the most part, but I really don't want people going out of their way to figure out my IRL identity or phone number. That's just wayyyy too far IMO!
