We just had LO's 6 month pedi visit, and she wants us to up his solids to 3x a day, and start introducing proteins (meat, yogurt, eggs). I'm excited about the variety I can start doing with him, but I'm wondering about the amounts. The pedi said basically keep feeding him until he shows that he's full (won't open his mouth, turns away, etc). But I worry about giving him too many solids, such that he'll start nursing less. Up til now, I've been doing 1.5oz or so of food 2x a day.

Can you post a typical day's menu with amounts for your 6-9 month old? Also, we're not doing BLW, but I do give him pieces of some foods, as well as use a mesh feeder.

ETA that there is some concern over LO's weight (he's gaining on the slow side), hence the stronger push with solids on her end, I think.
