DS is 6.5 months and running a fever of 102.7. He is a little bit fussy, eating a little bit less, pulling his ear (I thought it was teething) and I think his last diaper counts as diarrhea. But overall he doesn't seem to have many symptoms. Based on that our ped said to just keep an eye on his temperature/symptoms but that we didn't need to go to the hospital unless he hit 104 which seems high to me.
I trust our doctor but he is definitely on the laid back end of the scale, and this is the first time DS has been sick so I'm nervous. I'm curious how much variation there is on the "urgent" temp cut off. What is your doctor's general rule?
