I love linguine with a clammy white wine sauce! LO doesn't like it so we eat a lot of pasta with red sauce these days!

Um. Almost any.
However, I usually don't like the way a lot of restaurants do marinara sauce or meat sauce (unless it's a higher end italian place where I know they make their own sauces and pasta) so I will usually end up getting an alfredo of some sort. I love almost all pasta dishes!

I am a pasta snob. I won't eat out at an Italian restaurant because I can make it myself at home so much better. I won't pay to eat pasta at the high end Italian restaurants because it's a rip off when I know I can make it at home!
Carbonara is bacon and egg pasta...not with cream sauce, at least not in Italy. It's kind of been corrupted in the US, similar to Chinese food.

Hahahah, nothing fancy. I loooove me some mac and cheese, I hope that counts... I also love buttered noodles with salt. I'll never turn down a good marinara, meat sauce, or pesto though!

Lately I've been into making sauces out of butternut squash, sweet potato or pumpkin puree.

@looch: I would love to make pasta but fear it's really time consuming. Like perogies.

@.twist.: it is, unfortunately, but I love to add flavorings to pasta, like roasted red pepper puree or spinach puree, tastes so much fresher than what you can buy.

Umm... everything? I love the fresh tasting dishes in the summer - like angel hair with capers, basil, and a bunch of veggies. I also love crab or lobster ravioli with a lemon cream sauce, shrimp in a white wine/red pepper/cream sauce with farfalle, and good old spaghetti with red sauce if its homemade.

Any since I love Italian food in general. I'm not a big fan of super creamy sauces like alfredo, but I'll eat it if there's enough ingredients to buffer it.

Lasagna. It holds a special place in DH's heart because it was the first thing I ever made him.

@autumnlove: they're kind of chewy. I don't know what it is - maybe it's just because they're homemade that makes them so good. I had them once at an italian place here and once in NYC and I can't get enough. I want them all the time!

I've never loved red sauce, and I've had a strong aversion to it throughout my entire pregnancy. I never order pasta dishes at restaurants.
I eat whole wheat pasta with a little olive oil, whatever veggies I have laying around, fresh basil and feta cheese. Yum. Probably going to be my lunch now

I make a whole wheat penne with pesto, pine nuts and spinach leaves. It's great cold the next day too

I'm from a Sicilian family and like nearly everything my parents make - all homemade, all delicious.
As for restaurants, DH and I often visit a bar that makes a perfect salmon pasta in cream sauce.

Anything with pasta in it! Personal favorite pastas are linguine, angel hair and farfalla. Love wine based sauces, pestos, and zesty sauces. And you can put just about anything in it to make me happy - including just plain butter!
