Tornadoes. I am terrified of tornadoes. They come out of nowhere...if you're lucky you get what, like 10 minutes warning? If that? And in just a few seconds your whole life is ripped apart. So unpredictable.

I'm terrified of tornadoes for exactly the same reasons as @FutureMrsMcK, the lack of warning and total devastation is so scary. In weirdly fascinated by them though. I love the weather channel specials on tornadoes.

Tornadoes. They scare me so much because there isn't much warning for them. I live in an area that gets hurricanes, but we have plenty of time to prepare or evacuate if one is heading our way.

@Leialou: I used to live in SE Louisiana so hurricanes were nothing new and we always had time to prepare/evacuate....I think only one time I was caught off guard (Dennis, I think), but that was a very alcohol-laden summer, and I probably just wasn't paying attention.

Earthquakes!
I was okay with Tornadoes... generally you know they're coming (I mean not like hurricanes) but being in Texas they weren't super huge so we didn't worry too much. I actually really miss the thunderstorms that came with them since I've moved farther south.

Probably tornadoes here too. Im from the Midwest, so I have seen what they can do. Scary stuff.

#1 tornadoes, for sure
#2 tsunamis are pretty scary, but not high risk for them thank goodness!
#3 earthquakes.The two extremely mild earthquakes I've been in have been pretty freaky so I don't want to experience a real one!
Like others said, we get lots of hurricanes and they don't bother me a bit because of the advanced warning. -
Tornadoes, then hurricanes, then fire
I would take an earthquake any day but ever since I was little I had a weird obsession and fear of weather. Thank god I live on CAli.
