LO used to know the sign for milk, but now that his vocabulary is soaring, he has started saying the "K" sound as in the beginning of the beginning of the word con or cause.
It is funny because he uses that same sound when he sees my boobs or when he sees WCM in a cup.

It used to be Baaaa for breast milk...but now baaaa just means boobs.

Uggh...we've been having this battle for almost 8 months! He says "bah" for milk - and we never used anything close to that for breastfeeding, bottle OR milk. He thinks it's a big joke though because we go back and forth saying 'bah' (him) and 'milk' (me) and he cracks up laughing. He will say 'bahk' or 'mik' if we press hard enough.

Baaaah-key! No idea how the happened. DH thinks she's trying to say "flaska" (bottle), I think she's saying bottle.

For WCM she says moo milk and to breast feed she says "mama milk".

First he said "uh,uh,uh" when he wanted milk. Then it was "gah". Now at nearly 2, he says milk

He also says it in English. He says "milk" with emphasis on the k.

Mick accompanied by the sign. She usually says it in a normal voice once and then if the milk is not provided to her within 2.4 seconds she says it over and over again in a whine.

I wish LO would attempt a word for milk. Any word would do. Now, she claws her way into my lap, rubs her face on my chest and signs milk frantically. Funny, though, since she does this even when she wants her straw cup of wcm. You would think a word would be a lot easier?!?

Moo juice! We have a problem with the K sound too. And the F sound.

Nilk or Niik at 18 months. The "n" sound is really soft though, I'd even write it as gnilk...

@californiadreams: my 18 month old only says the "k" sound....I'm trying to work with him on saying the whole word!! Otherwise its just him whining "kuh, kuh, kuh, kuh" over and over....

@californiadreams: similarly my LO uses the K sound twice for cookie "k-k". We think it's hilarious. She doesn't use anything for milk yet.

23 months and "mick". He also asks for it when he wants water (usually when driving home from daycare). When we're at home and he specifically wants milk he'll go to the fridge and alternate between "mick" and saying/signing "more peas"

@babynumber1: I was beginning to think he was the only one! I sometimes pretend I didn't hear him just so he will say it again!! It's so adorable!!
