We have a shih-tzu. He is pretty lazy and doesn't bother the kids a lot! DH wants to get a pug or another shih tzu in a few years.
I had a golden retriever when I was younger. DH had a cocker spaniel and pug.

A beagle mix. She is very tolerant of the kids and is obsessed with licking babies. She hates strangers and barks incessantly if someone rings the doorbell or knocks. Growing up we always had mutts that were outdoor only dogs.

We have two corgi's and recently a Schipperke that was my MIL's dog (she passed away). I don't have a great picture of the Schipperke yet but here is a picture of our Corgi's right after we got them (they're much bigger now lol)

We have 2 currently. They are chocolate lab/blue heeler mixes! Same parents just different litters 1 year apart in age! 
I never grew up with dogs, they are my first ones.

These pics are great! We have a tiny mystery dog, 5 lbs, (see my profile pic) and a 45 lb German Shepard lab mix (our guess). They used to get along but they got in two fights so now we keep them 100% separated which is a huge pain in the butt.

Our old man is a shelter special- we have had him 10 years but are not sure how old he is.
Our girl is a 7 year old Mini Aussie.
They are the only dogs I've ever had.

@Charm54: how old is he? Tuna just turned a year and has tons of energy. Hoping she'll settle down in the next couple years. Also, the shedding. Omg the shedding. I had no clue it could be so bad.

We have a cattle dog (heeler) mix. I definitely love that personality, they are super intense though! This is Dan, he turns 15 in two weeks.
