@lindseykaye: Yeah, the alarm seems to be helping. His engaged friend doesn't help either because they're both on talking and playing. So annoying. It's been that way since I met him. Stakes are just higher with a baby and a schedule. He sleeps in during the morning routine and weekend routine because of his late nights. So that's not fun for me. The alarm is sort of reigning him in. I won't deny him Steam or anything like that. He just needs some time limits on it to get some sleep.

@TemperanceBrennan: Mine is a trivia geek too! He and his friends even have a wiki on their grad school page. Neeeerd.
@Mrs. High Heels: Would like to hear about these badass exploits.
I also married a goody two shoes. He is an athletic (which surprises some people), sports-obsessed nerd (scientist/economist), wannabe stand-up comedian.

Hmmm... He's intelligent and in IT but not a nerd per se. He's athletic and loves sports but not really a jock. He's goofy and funny and has tons of friends across all groups of people throughout his life. Everyone thinks of him as family. He's everyone's "other son", "brother" etc. I don't know that he fits a stereotype other than "nice guy".

@Freckles: omg mine wants to be a stand up comedian too! Lol
pomegranate / 3401 posts
@lindseykaye: @cascademom, mine too! steam! He's obsessed with Civilization....
I would say he is a nerd/business man with a little bit of sports fanatic thrown in (mostly NCAA football)

@Ginabean3: @lindseykaye: DH is obsessed with SolForge and League of Legends. He used to play other games, but LoL is the most popular one right now.

He's an athletic nerd. He is extremely fit, loves working out, is an amazing distance runner, and really good at soccer. Buuut he's also an electric engineer/biologist and looooves discussing those topics. Sometimes for hours if he can get someone to listen that long. He's also kind of a goody two shoes/people pleaser.

I married a massive c**t. His words, not mine! I probably shouldn't have asked him to pick for himself!!
watermelon / 14206 posts
DH is a reformed bad guy, lol. He's all into stocks and finances and works all day printing labels, now, so he's pretty nerdy these days, even though he'd never say that, lol.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@travellingbee: Omg, once in a while we'll be talking about something and he'll say, "that would make a great bit!" and then i roll my eyes and we both laugh at how horribly it would go.

@MamaMoose: I love pro athletes. I was a self-admitted cleat chaser - in the nicest, non-slutty way possible.
@Cherrybee: your Dh sounds like he would be friends with my DH. although, I continually try to ban use of that word in my house.

Mine is a reformed degenerate, secret evil genius, walking calculator. He is amazing with numbers but isn't a nerd in any other way. Follows almost every sport and will watch any that is on tv but only plays golf. Isn't super social but always the one people call for advice. We were both delinquents from the same elite school when we met and "straightened out" together.

@MrsMcD: Id have to ban all DIY and take his car keys from him if I wanted him to quit dropping the C-bomb!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Cherrybee: Hahahaha. I am imgining that he uses c**t in place of s**t. And that just makes me laugh thinking about it.

@MapleMoose: Me too!!
DH is athletic, he was Olympic caliber swimmer. And he's a major workaholic.
papaya / 10343 posts
I'd say he's kind of a nerd-wanna-be-rock-star-jock. He's an accountant and very good and passionate about his job in finance. Not so much nerdy about other stuff. Other than that he loves basketball (but is just okay) and loves music (but contains himself to rock band and live band karaoke lol)
papaya / 10473 posts
I married a hipster musician/missionary type of guy. You know, that wears TOMS and drinks coffee that supports Rwandan farmers, and plays the guitar/sings for our church.
But he is secretly a super handy manly man who also likes to fish and hunt. And he's a cop. I'd say he's well rounded

Nerdy hockey player. Not your typical meathead one! He is very intelligent but not really in a know-it-all fashion ( unless were fighting lol)
bananas / 9973 posts
Party Animal Sports Nut? I wouldn't say he's a jock, but played FB in HS (yet never works out). Ski Bum. Guys guy. Works Hard, Plays Hard. Smart - he only needs to read or study something once. So I think school was easy.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
I'd say nerdy-handy-outdoorsy-type. He knows a little bit about everything, and especially loves science and he's very handy (he's a mechanic) and loves the outdoors.
bananas / 9118 posts
Mostly nerd, with a little bit of athlete. Definitely not a bad boy at all.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
He's a badass marine/workaholic/musician/redneck. Hard to categorize! He has been known to fight, cusses like a well like a marine, works for the railroad 24/7 (always working!), loves guitars, has a jacked up truck that's been passed down since it was new, and a jacked up Jeep we take up in the hills or the mud.
@MrsMcD: @Cherrybee: Omg that word! My husband uses it way too much!
bananas / 9628 posts
hmmm... sexy gym rat/hip hop enthusiast/old soul who would wear bill cosby sweaters everyday if i let him he's my odd duck, and i wouldn't change him for the world (only his sweaters.... i did the world a favor by changing his sweaters!)
pineapple / 12234 posts
I would say...athletic/former party animal/class clown. He also learns quickly and works very hard. He knows a little bit about everything.
pineapple / 12526 posts
@TemperanceBrennan: OMG, the random trivia. DH constantly amazes me with how much random crap he knows. He can read wiki articles for hours. Literally hours.
persimmon / 1081 posts
I want to say I married a business hippie, but I don't want to give the wrong impression (he's not a poncho-wearing drug dealer from Harold & Kumar). He's clean-cut but outdoorsy. He's an engineer and a musician. I think I got the whole package!
honeydew / 7917 posts
I married a geek/techie. He is currently obsessed with cameras (both digital and film). I don't even want to add up how much time and money he has invested in photography.
pomegranate / 3231 posts
I don't know how to answer this. My husband almost finished a PhD in geology/earth science/oceanography. He loves rock climbing and most other outdoorsy activities. He also loves high quality men's fashion and owns 40+ pairs of dress shoes. He is an excellent cook and is an oenophile. He knows nothing about professional sports, but he loves cars. And he is super handy and can fix pretty much any issue we have in the house.
I guess he's actually a nerd underneath it all, but he's pretty friendly and well socialized and a great conversationalist.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
Jock, but he graduated top of his class and majored in finance so he's plenty nerd as well.
honeydew / 7586 posts
A nerdy jock?
DH is a web developer and is super into programming and technology. On the other hand, he is incredibly athletic and plays on several (rec) sports teams.
