LO was a little jaundiced in the beginning.
And she has pretty bad allergies!
Other than that, nothing so far. Very blessed!

My son had a little bit of jaundice, eczema and reflux. My daughter so far has had pretty bad eczema. Hopefully there's nothing else to add to this list!!!

Jaundice, eczema, milk protein intolerance, and tested positive for an egg and wheat allergy. It got so bad she was in the ER once. I think she's also allergic to coconut and oats (untested) and I'm getting around to confirm it at home.

She was in NICU for respritory laziness & jaundice.
And now we have eczema and extreme reflux, and now are going through tests and exploratory surgery to find answers for forceful vomitting that started about a month ago. Poor girl can't keep food down and really never has.

She has a small cyst on her right nipple. Looks like a whitehead zit. Talked to a surgeon about it but he doesn't want to take it off yet cause it will distort her while nipple. So have to wait till she is older. Just have to watch it doesn't get infected.
Reflux!

Thrush. And a clogged tear duct. Overall we've been very lucky to have a very healthy baby.

She was born with a fever so had to have iv antibiotics right away. She had terrible reflux and would throw up massive amounts from newborn -3 months. She had an awful virus at 5.5 months with fevers of 104. And she's always had a blocked tear duct that gives us trouble
Poor my baby!

@Mrs. Jacks: Have you seen this? (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/10/magazine/can-a-radical-new-treatment-save-children-with-severe-allergies.html?smid=pl-share) It was in the NYT magazine a few weeks back about children w/ severe food allergies.

@Espion: Isn't that a great story in so many ways?! Philanthropic fundraising for scientific research is very exciting to us researchers!

She was born with a retracted mandible, but it's not REALLY a health issue. Her bottom lip is just tucked back a little bit. It really effected her latch in the beginning, but now she can eat fine. She'll grow out of it, but we have to see a surgeon about it every few months until it's gone. Otherwise, she's awesome - no allergies or anything so far! Knock on wood.

@Mrs. Jacks: It is! I'm amazed at how they all clicked and just ran with it. Amazing what a few parents on a mission can do. Although I have to be a little jaded that so many things that afflict kids/adults get little attention because they are not the big C. We occupy so little of any budget (NIH or otherwise) that we almost don't get a mention.

@Espion: Yup. Do you know how much Xolair costs? Approximately $2000/month!

We're facing inherited asthma, aggravated by seasonal allergies. My son was hardly sick before the age of 2, just one cold.

N was born severely Tongue-tied and mildly Lip tied. Also he was pretty jaundice. The doctor said that if we couldn't get it under control he would have to go into the hospital for Bili-light therapy.

He supposedly had infant reflux, but I never believed he did and actually did fine once I took him off the Zantac, so I think it was just a fussy nursing phase
Otherwise, he caught RSV and an intestinal bug at daycare but nothing serious, thank God.

The worst was little-to-no weight gain in the very beginning before we started supplementing. He just got his first mild cold last week. Other than that nothing...we've been very lucky.

After that, just common colds and roseola.

At about 36 weeks, LO had to see some pediatric heart specialists because through ultrasound they discovered that she had a potentially very serious heart defect. When she was born, she had to see the pediatric cardiologist soon after birth, and we had to follow up with EKGs and ultrasounds of her heart for several months after birth. Luckily, the defect corrected itself. Had it not, it was one of those things where an otherwise healthy teenager or 20-something just drops dead one day. Thank goodness for ultrasounds!!!!!!!!!
Since then, it's been all mild stuff: clogged tear ducts, ear infection, plenty of colds and conjunctivitus. She also had really bad colic as an infant, as a result of severe gas/digestive system issues.
