It's better than a life jacket for her age because he keeps her floating but with her feet behind her and her head up. Her life jacket kept flipping her onto her back (as they are supposed to) and she couldn't learn to actually swim. We'll be getting one for E this summer. -
I used a baby floatie for my LO last summer, and he was 17 months old at the time. It was super easy to inflate, and my LO loved kicking around in the water.
