My requirement for a purse/bag is that it has to have a cross-body strap attachment. I have a Kate Spade purse, which on its own is not so heavy but once I have my stuff in it, it gets sooo heavy. Is it inevitable that women carry heavy purses?

I have a few but right now I am carrying a hobo style coach purse. It is heavy, I try to cram too much stuff into it. When I put in my smaller make-up bag for touch-ups, I swear it weighs over 10 pounds. DH thinks it's ridiculous.

i have a kate spade tote and it is heavy because I throw water bottles in it. Cross body straps look RIDICULOUS on me because I'm busty. I do try to clean it out regularly, though!

My purse isn't too heavy.. even with the kids' stuff in it!

I love small purses and had to upgrade a bit to fit my big camera. It never gets too heavy because I can only fit my necessities -- camera, extra pack of film, money, and small wallet.

I don't even carry a purse anymore. I haven't since having DS1. I just thrown my wristlet wallet in the diaper bag. I've tried carrying a purse again and I have nothing to put in it!

For work I use my Longchamp - I bring a lot of things on the commute so I have to have a big, lightweight bag!

I have a Miche Prima and I LOVE it!!! If I fill it up, it definitely DOES get heavy, but it's totally manageable. One of the things I love about it is I can use both shorter shoulder straps or a longer across the body strap for it! It's so versatile!

Right now I'm carrying a large Coach bag with crossbody strap (although I keep that tucked inside most of the time). I got it from my sister so I'm not sure what the style/name is. It is huge and I can throw a couple of diapers and small pack of wipes for quick trips in it. It generally isn't too heavy.

Same. Right now I carry an LV cross body with the bare minimum in it. I feel like you have to keep it lightweight while running around with kids!
