What is something (or some things) that make your life easier as a parent? It can be anything big or small. Maybe it's someone who lends you a hand with the kids or the invention of some amazing product! I'll leave it vague, it can be anything

Those little toddler snack containers that let kids eat but not dump everything out! DS (15 months) eats cheerios out of those, on his own, with no mess a LOT.

@wrkbrk: woah. Those munching ones with the catcher lid only made more of a mess because my toddler would pull his hand out really fast and send them flying. And then the food would go stale. I always wished there was a lid. This solves all those problems!

@brownepiano: Right?! This brand specifically, too. I've tried others but this is sturdy enough to keep the food INSIDE. Haha.

When I can do a shopping errand solo. I got to do it today for an hour while the kids were with my grandma.

Amazon Prime: I can have almost anything I need delivered to my building within a day or two. This massively reduces the amount of time I have to spend on errands.
Household help: We only use daycare in the mornings, and we have a sitter in the afternoons. I come home from work to a child who is bathed and fed, so I can focus on hanging out with him instead of doing chores in the evening. My parents cover two afternoons per week, so it's not really much more expensive than sending him to daycare full time.

Ironically, my small apartment. There's only so much space to get messy!
Also, my rice cooker and crock pot. They both have timers and make dinner so much easier to get on the table since I can start them before I leave for work..

My nanny! She does so much for our children and family of course, but even on a personal level, she has grown to be one of my closest confidantes and I'm so lucky to know her, let alone have her care for my kiddos.

That my job let me do 80% time. Meaning I have Fridays off. I don't know how I could do it otherwise.

My mom. She usually has my girls for a full day once a week, even though she works full time. Last night they even spent the night. I had 22 hours to really get things done. And a full nights sleep. My mom rocks.

Free childcare at a local super market! Only 3 -'d up so I still have to shop with my one year old, but my 3 year old asks to go grocery shopping so she can hang out in the kid zone.
Also when DH is traveling so I'm solo parenting, or just on the really rough days- paper plates. Sometimes I just can't deal with the extra dishes (even though I have a dishwasher and still have to load the silverware and stuff).

@wrkbrk: that is going in my 1 year olds Easter basket. We have a different brand snack catcher and she manages smto shake them all out. This looks better!

A cleaning lady, my Breville tea maker, and podcasts. They let me feel like my commute is personal time because it's almost like watching tv for an hour.

My husband makes life easier because he's super tidy and can always be relied on to do / fold laundry, clean the kitchen etc.

My video monitor. At 2.5 lo is still a terrible sleeper but she's gotten better at putting herself back down. By looking at the monitor I can tell whether she's about to put herself back to sleep or if I have to go in myself. Saves me so much sleep, I'm never giving it up!

@Finfan: Yes, on the time delayed washing machine...it's the only way I am able to catch up on laundry during weeks like this one.
I also rely on convenience foods and the cafeteria at work during super busy weeks. No shame in not making all the food we eat ourselves.
Online shopping in general, I buy most clothes, shoes, gifts online these days. I haven't set foot in an actual store in years (other than the grocery store and CVS).

The drop in daycare place that LO loves. It's been so great to stop stressing about finding a sitter. I use it for random work meetings (I'm a SAHM/WAHM) and appointments during the day and usually will have her stay an extra hour and just have lunch alone. We also use it for date nights. LO loves going so the guilt is minimal!
