I'm considering the Naturepedic 150, but it's kind of expensive. What does your baby sleep on? Do you recommend it?

Since we got an IKEA crib, we didn't want to worry about whether a non-IKEA mattress would fit and also IKEA products seem to follow more stringent European guidelines concerning toxic materials, so we got their Vyssa Spelevik mattress:http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80152867/

We bought the Moonlight Slumber Little Dreamer mattress (http://www.amazon.com/Moonlight-Slumber-Dreamer-Firmness-Mattress/dp/B003XT43MG) and we love it! It's PVC & vinyl free, very firm, and didn't have any chemical-y odor when it arrived. Plus, their customer service is awesome. When there was a problem w/my order, I was able to speak directly with the vice-president, and they sent me a replacement immediately, no questions asked. Totally recommend!

We got Serta mattress (the one with the sheep) for around $125 at Babies R Us when we got the crib. I have no complaints, it works great for what we needed and could afford.

We got the Naturepedic--the 2 stage lightweight one. It is REALLY light! I foresee it making sheet changes very easy. So far we're happy with it!

@Mrs. Lantern: I actually sat on all the samples (I know, it sounds weird, but I was how else will I be able to really test them out) and I went for the most expensive one ($99 latex mattress). My LO seems to be sleeping comfortably in it!

We bought the naturepedic lightweight mattress, was expensive, but not a bad ad some -- love how easy it is to lift in the crib!

We registered for the Sealy Soybean Everedge Foam-Core mattress. It was the recommended mattress in Baby Bargains, and gets great reviews on Amazon.

I originally registered for this one, but now I'm scared that maybe we should get an IKEA mattress since we're getting an IKEA crib...
