I didn't take anything after delivery. I wasn't really in pain so I just said 'no thanks' whenever it was offered. I think they were just offering tylenol.

I got offered either percocet or norco. Both worked wonderfully after my c-section. Ibuprofen did NOTHING.

percocet and Ibuprofen after my c-section. I kept trying to cut out the percocet (I'm not much of a Rx user) and I was off it by the 3rd day there and just on Ibuprofen.

Ibuprofen for my vaginal birth. They forgot to prescribe it to me before leaving the hospital. The discharge nurse said to just take equivalent doses at home basically smaller pills, more of them.

I was given percocet after my (rough) vaginal delivery, but I wasn't really in pain? I'm not sure if it was the adrenaline or what, but I really had very little/no vaginal pain after delivery. I took the percocet for a day, thinking maybe it was just staving off the pain, but went off of it after 24 hours. It didn't even make me loopy! Not sure what was up.
