Do you put LO's carseat in the center or on the driver or passenger side? Is one safer over the others?

Hers is on the passengers side of both vehicles. It wouldn't fit right in the middle, even though we both have SUV's.

We have it behind the passenger's side in DH's car and the driver's side in mine. DH is too tall to sit in front and have the car seat behind him so we sort of have to do it that way. Curious to see what other people say though, we just installed them a couple of days ago and I almost posted this thread over the weekend.

P is behind the passenger b/c I couldn't get the tether attached to the drive side seat anchor.

We tried to get his convertible carseat in the center (safest spot), it didn't fit right so now it's on the seat behind the passenger.

Passenger. I had it in the center but had it inspected and they said no the side was better so you can use the latch system. Can't use it in the middle, not as secure.

We have the car seat in the center. The person who inspected the car seat agreed that the latch system does not work in the middle seat, but it can be just as secure if you pull it as tight as possible when tightening the seat belt. You shouldn't be able to move the car seat at all if you push it from side to side. We have another one on the way and plan on putting the infant car seat on the side and having my toddler remain in the middle. The bucket seat is safer than the convertible car seat facing forward so it's better for him to remain in the middle.

Drivers side. Center is usually supposed to be safest (yes, you do have to use the seat belt), but my car has a weird bump out in the center seat that means it doesn't properly accommodate most carseats in that position.

DS1 is in the center since it's safest and he's forward facing. DS2 is behind the driver seat and rear facing.

Passenger side because it wouldn't fit in the middle without rendering the other two seat belts unusable. Our installer said passenger side is second safest, if for no other reason, than because when you are getting your baby out of the car, you want it to be on the sidewalk side, not the road side. Made sense to me so that's what we did.

Our car and carseat manual said you can use LATCH in te center seat as long as it meets a certain inches requirement so that's where our convertible seat is

Passenger side. We have a mini van so that makes the most sense for us.

Passenger. My husband wouldn't be able to get into the drivers seat if it was in the middle or behind the driver's seat.

Passenger side in my car, drivers in DH's. We based on safest fit + comfort of driver + manual recomendations.

Infant seat was in the middle, convertible is in the passenger. I couldn't see out of the back window with the convertible in the middle.

@Ree723: same here.
ours is behind the passenger - the carseat tech couldn't get the middle tight enough so behind the passenger she went. i was also told this is safer than driver's side because you (and baby) are curbside vs in the road.
