Also, they'd been in the freezer for a while...if it makes a difference!

Baked BBQ chicken. Start them in the oven with just seasoned salt & pepper then add BBC sauce for the rest of the baking. I like Sweet Baby Ray's sauce and use Tony's Creole seasoned salt.

OMG. I just looked at the date on the chicken...how long is it good in the freezer for?

@erinbaderin: comfort food! yum
@yin: Perfect, I love the thigh meat with those types of flavors, the salty tangy sweet.
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I should try it! My hubby would love it.

@junebugsmama: In my opinion, basically forever. I wouldn't worry about the date, as long as it doesn't look too freezer burned I would eat it without a second thought.

@erinbaderin: Especially with some of these intensely flavored recipes right? I would imagine it's more the texture that might get a bit mushy.

We like having this over rice with a side of green beans. You don't have to crockpot it if you don't want to - the sauce is just fine as a saute sauce in a pan. If I did it in a pan, I'd cut up the chicken, stir fry it with green beans, and then add the sauce to thicken and reduce. So good and simple!
