Right now because of space, we've been sharing a double and it's driving me nuts. DH is a big guy and I'm a spreader. I think I might have to get rid of some furniture to make room for a bigger bed!!

We finally upgraded to a queen after being on a full for years. A California King would have been better, because DH is tall and his feet always dangle a little, but we don't have the space.

There's King and California King. We have a regular King.

I always said we didn't need a bigger bed. Well now we have a cal king, and it's glorious.

Queen. Next bed will absolutely be a cal king because DH is tall but since we just bought a new mattress in August, it won't be for a few more years!

we have a queen because we live in NYC, but we're both tall people and would love a california king when we leave the city and get a bigger bedroom (one day). my understanding is that a ca king is longer than a queen and wider than a queen, but not as wide as a classic king; whereas a king is the same length as a queen but super wide. *really* want the length without the bulk.

Queen. DH is very tall but he's a fairly compact sleeper so it works for us. We've slept in king beds before and don't particularly like it - it feels too far apart! For the foreseeable future, I see us staying with a queen, which is good because upgrading to a king would take a bit of rearranging rooms in our house!

We upgraded from a queen to a king in September when my son was 18mo. And I finally started sleeping well for the first time in almost two years!!!

We upgraded from a queen to king a few years ago and will definitely never go back.

@LCTBQE: yeah, I had to refresh my memory on bed sizes. I forgot what the difference was. I thought King was the same width as Cal King. I knew Cal King was longer. I was wrong.

California King. We slept in a full for a few years when we were in college. When we adopted a puppy we had to go bigger! DH is 6'-3"!

We have a Queen, but while it was in storage for two years and we lived across country in provided housing we were downgraded to a double, and it was torture. So glad we're back in our Queen. Our new house I'm pretty sure expected people to have Doubles though, there's little wiggle room. By dresser is butted against the footboard, and hubbys tallboy is in the closet!

I would love a king or Cali King. I love a space and room. And our kids comes into our bed a lot haha. We could technically fit it in our room, it'd be tight though.
We have a queen

@bluestriped bee: Thanks for the visuals! I tought California King was wider as well, so now when we move again into hopefully our forever home, I won't try to get that size. Regular King would be good enough for us. We're not tall people.

We had to change to a queen from a cal. king and it feels tiny!
DH is an active sleeper, he talks, he kicks, throws his arms.. ugh
A king won't fit, so we're stuck for a while..

A king! It seemed huge when we first upgraded but between the dog and my husband I still find myself lacking in space some nights

@Mamaof2: same! We cuddle while watching TV, but when it is time for sleep, we each roll to our side of the bed.

Going from a queen to a king was the best decision we ever made.

Queen. If we ever move we're going to get a King. We don't have the space now though.

We went from a queen to a king when we moved to our condo and it's amazing. We will never go back. The room is pretty tight on space with the big bed but it's worth it! And we still fight about being a bed hog, especially when I'm pregnant and need all the pillows and all the space. If we had had a full while I was pregnant he would have had to sleep on the couch.

We bought a king while I was pregnant because we cosleep. I love it! Except DH can scoot too far away for me to kick when he snores.

King, Luckily it fit over the balcony of our 1910 house. No way that was going up the stairs.

queen. and i may be weird but i don't want anything bigger. mattresses, duvets, comforters, etc are all cheaper and it's plenty of room for us

King! DH and I wake each other up all night long on anything smaller.

Queen! We had a full for the first 6.5 years of our marriage. When I was 35 weeks pregnant I woke up with the imprint of a spring in my side and threw a hissy fit. We bought our new queen that day.
