We are going to a wedding when LO is 6 weeks, and I'm tempted to order her a cute dress, but am not sure what size she'll wear. She's 6 weeks and is still in newborns. She's 21 1/2 inches long and weighs 8 pounds. We'll be meeting up with a ton of college friends, and I definitely want LO to be looking her cutest. 
What size did your LO wear at 6 weeks?

It really depended on the brand. She wore some newborn stuff (mostly pants), but 0-3 month in some other things.

My son was exactly that size and he was wearing newborn at that time with some 0-3 too. I would say since it's a dress size will be more forgiving so you Could probably go either way.

We just moved from NB to 0-3 at 5 weeks, but mainly bc of length. H has some long-ass legs!!! She can still wear NB onesies...

Newborn from birth-10 weeks! I would suggest getting 0-3 months in a brand that runs a little smaller (not gap.. if gap get NB).

Sizing seems to vary so much by brand! Big our guy is a chunky monkey and teetering between 0-3 and 3-6 at 6 weeks

I think at 6 weeks, Lo was in that awkward stage that NB was a little too short/tight, but 0-3 was too large.

NB or 0-3. But it's hard because it varies with brand. My suggestion is to track down the brand's size chart (it's usually a little tricky to find, but on their site somewhere) and compare her specs.

She was going into 3-6 months. lol. She outgrew NB at 2 weeks old.

My LO was either in preemie or newborn. But I had a very little guy.

At 6 weeks, she was in 0-3 but not for too much longer. I think we switched her to 3-6 around 8 weeks or so. She officially outgrew newborn around 2 weeks, although we never really put her in newborn stuff because she looked more comfortable in the 0-3 clothes.

@kodybear: 9 lb is about when my LO outgrew newborn too, she reached 9 lb at about 11-12 days old though (if not sooner).

Newborn. She was in NB until at least two months. She's 5 months and can still wear 0 to 3!

Sounds like for most of you, that was when LO was at a transition point. I guess my answer is "who knows!" lol.
I'll just wait and get her something that week.

3 month and some 0-3, she was very long and skinny. (she was 9 lbs and 22 inches long.)

same as PP, at 6 weeks, O was just too big for her NB but still a little small in her 0-3 and 3 months.
