I have been using dish soap but am wondering if there's something special I should be using or something I should avoid?

@kjpugs: I rarely use bottles any more, but when I do I just used our regular non scented biodegradable stuff. I guess I'd just avoid using stuff with scents, personally.

I use the babyganics foam soap for all of baby's items and eating utensils. It has a light, lovely citrus scent.

We originally used our regular dishwashing soap (Seventh Generation or Dawn) like the rest of our dishes and then randomly tried Dapple and it worked so much better so we used Dapple from then on for bottle and pump parts.

I use either Method or Seventh Generation, whichever was on sale that week.

Just regular dish soap. Never even considered anything else.
@lovebird: @pelikila: Why do you like Dapple?

Babyganics foaming. Because my sister used it and it seemed like a good idea. We use regular scented soap for everything else.
I never heard of dapple- what's so special about it?

We used regular dish soap as instructed by our LC in the hospital. I took her at her word since I had no time to research once I had LO.

Just our usual washing up liquid (which you would call dish soap, apparently!)

@sylvie_b: same here! never thought of using something special or unscented.

@kjpugs: I used regular dish soap. It may have even been the off-brand stuff from Walmart.

@Katrocap: @Foodnerd81: Our other dish soaps would leave a film, particularly on soft plastics like nipples and I always dislike that on things that go in baby's mouth. For whatever reason, Dapple doesn't do that. Also, DH always washed bottle parts and I washed pump parts and both of us noticed that it somehow really gets milk film off easily compared to our other dish soaps.

I always used Ivory dish soap, bought it just for bottles/ect. I was told it was gentle!

@kjpugs: I used regular Ajaxx dish liquid. I tried switching to 7th generation but that stuff really dries the hands

Whatever we bought with a coupon or on-sale. Right now, it's Method clementine-scented dish soap.

Just whatever we used regularly - I think it was the Trader Joe's dish soap.

We just used our regular dish soap and then boiled in hot water... *USED* to being the operative word.
