@mrbee: I don't listen to the radio either, but I agree with both of your song choices.

I think not listening to the radio is a good gauge of choosing songs because those two songs infiltrated pop culture beyond the radio.

I would also add Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and LMFAO's sexy song. Those two I heard A LOT.

It's hard to say because those songs (especially Psy) are everywhere now, but the year's almost over - there are a bunch from earlier in the year that were just as big. I think Call Me Maybe is definitely one of the biggest of the year, and also Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye, We Are Young by Fun and We Found Love by Rihanna. And probably something by Taylor Swift, but I don't know the names of her songs, haha.
