I had to pick up LO from daycare yesterday because she wasn't eating and had a fever according to daycare's temporal thermometer. I rushed over (in my work from home "not meant for public eyes" outfit) and I could hear her screaming from the parking lot. She was really warm to the touch so I checked her temp again with the daycare's thermometer and it was 100.2. I had a rectal thermometer in my diaper bag and her temp was 102.5. I rechecked a minute later with the rectal and it was still 102.5.

What thermometer do you use? I think a rectal thermometer is most accurate but isn't the most convenient....does anyone use an ear thermometer?
