We found out the sex yesterday and now I have a bunch of girl clothes from Gap (both in store and online) that I bought around Black Friday and will most likely never use. Except I can't find the receipts, ugh! Is there any chance of returning them at this point or do I just have to sell them/give them away?

They'll probably exchange them for you-you have the tags on them.

Doesn't hurt to ask. They did it once for us. We need to try it again because we got an outfit that is now too small for LO for Christmas.

They will let you exchange them but be prepared to get the 'lowest selling price'...Since you don't have proof of what you paid, they will give you the bare minimum so it might be worth it to sell/keep.

If you paid with a credit card and you still have the tags on them they may be able to pull up the receipt on the register. That's how it was at a clothing store I worked at anyway.

They will take them back for the lowest selling price. (Unless you used a Gap/Banana/Old Navy card, then they can look it up.)

If you paid with a gap card they keep the information in the store register for 30 days.

check your email, they offer email receipts there so you might have a receipt & not even realize it!

I agree with PP, check your email as there should be proof of your online purchases. If the tags are on you'll get at least some of your money back. You probably got them for a good price anyways if it was Black Friday shopping. Good luck! Congrats on baby boy!

boys are super fun to dress. I would sell on classifieds. You probably won't get much back if you try to take them back to Gap. Their prices drop so fast.

They will take them back! My sister worked at the gap and try took everything back she said. That was in NYC though.

They will only give you a credit for the last sale price, even if you paid more than that. It may not be worth it, honestly!

I would exchange, even for lowest sale price. On Black Friday you got it for less anyway, probably. I wouldn't want to hang onto girl clothes not knowing if you will have a girl one day and also because you might not like them by then!

They ended up taking it all back! Since I was still within the 45 day return period, they looked up the card I used and just refunded everything back to my card. I was surprised to get all my money back! Of course then I went and got boy things for even better than the original 50% off on Black Friday

Congrats on Team Blue! I've received gifts from BabyGap with no receipt that had to go back (doubles) and they took it no problem. The only issue is if it's gone on sale, you only get the sale price back, but that's not the worst thing I figure.

Congrats on your little boy! I'm glad you were able to return them all. I always lose receipts too but our Gap gives us an option to have the receipt emailed instead of printed. That's been such a lifesaver for me!
