I got some pass along crib bumpers that I need used and don't plan on using. I know they are not recommended, plus my son doesn't sleep in his crib anyway. I'm not sure if I should give them away because of the AAP recommendation. Should I just throw them away? I feel bad tossing perfectly nice bedding.

I saw someone who took crib bumpers and turned them into teething guard rail! It was cool, but if he's not in the crib I suppose that's not a necessity.
Are you good with DIY projects? You could salvage most of the fabric and make fabric blocks, use in a patchwork blanket, taggie, stuffed animals, pennant banner for his room - there is a lot of scrap-buster projects. Look on pinterest

You can give them away, still. Some people (like me) decide to use them anyway. We got a motion sensor monitor just in case...

Hmmm, these are really good ideas. Maybe I could use them as bumpers for our coffee table.

I've seen them used instead of a crib skirt. If they match your nursery, that may be an option for you. You could always take them to a consignment shop.
