My Dad was going to make one for LO's birthday. Now he doesn't think he has the time, so my parents are asking for ideas to see if they can budget it.

We have the Kid Kraft one with 2 chairs. I really like it and M plays at it daily. I have heard great things about the Ikea one, though if your parents live near an Ikea.

@Smurfette: Our neighbors also have this step2 table and chairs and like it a lot. LO spends some time over there and they always eat at this table. Very lightweight and easy to carry inside and outside for the summer. We tried to stay away from the ones with folding chairs. LO climbs on everything and I didn't want something to get pinched, or it collapse on him.

@mediagirl: I like the Kid Kraft but I was kind of hoping for 4 chairs so when we have people over we can use for the kids to all eat at. Ikea might be the best bet. My sister works 5 mins from one so they can send to do the shopping.

We have the Melissa and Doug toddler table, but it only comes with two chairs.

We have a Kidcraft one. It is a wood finish with four chairs. I think it was 89 or 99 on Amazon around Christmas.

@Smurfette: Ran down to take a quick picture. It's right next to 3 windows in our kitchen that lets in a ton of light (especially with a bunch of snow on the ground). I'd say the chairs are more muted rather than bright.

We have the 20$ Ikea one! Works well! only two chairs though!

We have the ikea sundvik one in a kind of grey. I like that the chairs are sold separately so you can buy as many as you need. We have 3. We've had ours for just over 2 years and it has held up well
