Please help me with my unique circumstance?
1- I have to wear long sleeves
2- there cannot be any sheer part of the blouse (lace, mesh..) unless it can easily be fixed with a cami or something.

I actually love what is paired in the picture with it - a really great structured white shirt (a la Carolina Herrera). Plus then you could throw on a really great statement necklace.

I like that it can be paired with a statement necklace because I am ALL ABOUT those. But, I don't like white.
Could we do a different color or even a satin button down blouse?

That skirt is so dramatic, I might stick with something more simple on top. Like just a crew or v neck fitted top in a nice fabric with a statement necklace to keep things interesting?

I would go with something simple, no pattern and no bows, etc. You could definitely go with colour on top (I'm also not a fan of white button downs) and if you go with a something more on the plain side, you could also wear a statement necklace or bracelets.

@CupQuakeWalk: Yes, you can totally do a colored button down! Since the skirt is so dramatic and full, I think keeping the top simple would look great.

Another one for a plain button down. It can be in the color of your choice, but a solid pattern with no embellishments. Then dress it up with great accessories.

I would go with any of the silk button downs that you were posting, but without the bows. I would rather do a statement necklace than a bow like that.

Or I'd go with a plain button down in a fun color. I feel like with the volume of the skirt, the shirts with the bows are feeling top heavy to me. I think less would be more on top (and would work better with a statement necklace)

Great skirt! I'm picturing a fitted 3/4 to full sleeve blouse, simple, with a wider boat-neck neckline and some great bold jewelry (necklace and earrings). Kinda made out of that thinner tshirt material that's stretchy, so it shows off the curves well, ya know? I love the mix of fitted with something larger, like the poof in that skirt.
May I ask what the occasion is?

@CupQuakeWalk: It's only $12, so you can afford to have it tailored (I'd put some darts at the waist to make it slimmer, since you are tucking it into a voluminous skirt). And judging from the other thread I saw, you already have some amazing necklace to go with it.

I'd do a cashmere black turtleneck sweater with statement earrings and a classic red lip.
Edit: Just realized the skirt is black... I was thinking dark green right after I looked at it. I'd go white turtleneck then.

@MrsTiz: I have NO idea. I will have to worry about hijab last minute. I am panicking just thinking about it. And I was originally thinking striped too but my husband told me it was too BettleJuice. He has no style but that thought just will not leave my mind ever since he put it in my there.

I think one big thing to determine is if you want to wear the shirt tucked in or not. I think you probable need to because of the bulk of the skirt. But that right there eliminates a lot of tops.

What about pairing it with a thin long-sleeved sweater/cardigan and an embellished belt? I was thinking a jewel neckline . . . ?
