After hearing about so many c-sections recently, I started wondering, how was your child/were your children born? Vaginal or via c-section?

Vaginal. Induced, no pitocin though, in labour for 15 hours. Pushed for the last 30 mins.

Vaginal. I thought for sure I wouldn't have the strength to push a baby out, but thank goodness I was wrong!

i didn't vote since i had one c section and one vaginally.
charlie was a c section due to no progress after 3 hours of pushing and lowering heartrate. olive was a vaginal birth with epidural but no pitocin.

My labor was 24 hours total, 3 hours of pushing, vacuum assisted. I had an epidural from the beginning (with 3 failures... boo) and pitocin from almost the beginning.

Stat c-section because the little man did not tolerate labour at all!

I voted on my most recent but I've had both...
One failed induction that ended in cesarean (apparently pretty common)
One unmedicated vaginal birth..... which was WAY better than my last medicated labor.

I had a vaginal birth -- 28 hours total labor, 3 hours pushing with epidural half way through.

Vaginal - 14 hours with the last 3 hours pushing. The ob had to use the forceps though, the cord was around his neck and it had two knots in it which we think was preventing him from coming out on his own.

@MsMini: you're back!!! How did it go? I see the induction led to a c-section? How are you feeling?
I was induced, labored for 3 hours and pushed for less than an hour. I delivered vaginally. No pain meds

Vaginal, labored 19 hrs and then I wanted eipidural since I didn't know how much longer I could take, 30 mins later was pushing and pushed for 90 mins. Now I wish I stuck it out and didn't get the eipidural!

Vaginal -- in labor for 3 days total, ended up w/ pitocin to finally speed things up... then ended up w/ an epidural. I pushed for about 40 minutes.
I have no proof, but I think that if I had accepted interventions at an earlier stage in my labor I might have ended up w/ a c-section. In the end I labored at home all the way until I was 6 cm dilated.

Vaginal - 5 hours of labor then had the epidural (I had 30 minutes until I was fully dilated after the epidural) and 3 hours of pushing
I'll update with #2 in a little over a month!

@Coco Bee: Yep! I have returned! The induction was not tolerated by my little guy at all. He couldn't handle real contractions at all, and his heart rate plummeted and was really hard to get back up, so I had a stat c-section. Me and Sawyer are doing awesome though, and he has no apparent ill effects from his critically low fetal heart rate.

@MsMini: oh gosh that must have been soo scary. You seem totally okay with how it worked out though, and I'm so happy for that! Birth is SUCH an emotional thing, it's really important to be okay with how it went OMG LOVE the name Sawyer! It was on my boys list too! I think it's soo adorable.

@Rosie Girl: that's awesome that the next one was so quick!! I hear the second one is always easier. It was the same for my mom, her first about 15hours-ish, and her second was less than four, only two hours after she went to the hospital.
