Did you use soother pads or gel pads for sore nipples if you breastfed or pumped? What did you use? I was given some gel pads from the hospital and they're great. I'm wondering if there are other good products out there, though?

What brand gel pads do you use? I dont have any soothing pads, I just use regular disposable nursing pads but sometimes my nipples are so sore! I would like to try something soothing

I just bought the gel pads yesterday! Ahhh I feel so much better. I think they're by Lansinoh...but they were $15 and I can only use them for 72 hours. But they really do help so much. TMI but my nipples were sticking to my nursing bra's and getting more chapped and hurt without the gel pads.

Ameda! They're so great. Helped heal me after my newly teething baby bit a hole in my nipple!

I used the lasinoh gel pads for the first few weeks. They were great after being put in the fridge!

@Mrs. Yoyo: woah! A hole?? Are you okay? Did you still nurse on that side?

I used the Lansinoh ones but didn't realize that my body reacted adversely to the cold (would cause painful spasms) so they ended up making my nipples more sore. Aside from this they seemed like they would have been great and came highly recommended by friends who BF.

@HeatherlovesKenny: I got those Lansinoh gel soothies pads and they felt great for 5 min and then they STING and they hurt to peel them off.

@enjollah: Oh, I'm fine. It actually healed within a few days. I pumped on that side and fed on the other. I actually got kind of engorged because my pump was not as efficient as Baby Y.
Fortunately, nothing nearly as traumatic since then ...

@Mrsbells: I was given Ameda comfortGels. They're fine but they don't stick onto the bra or tank so they're a bit difficult because of that. They last for one week.
@HeatherlovesKenny: I've noticed my breasts sticking to my tanks/bras, as well. These gel pads have helped with that. Side note - it's amazing how quickly milk comes in!!
@Mrs. Yoyo: which ones did you use? And yeah, OW! I'm so glad you're okay now.
@BeachMama: good idea about putting them in the fridge!
