We are stenciling an accent wall in our bedroom. The wall will be black and we will stencil over it in gold like the picture.
We will probably leave the other 3 walls in the room white, but we also have big floor to ceiling windows in the room. What sort of curtains would you pair with this? I don't want blinds because I am hoping to save a bit on the heating bill!

@plantains: is your bedroom furniture white?
If so, i'd do white...maybe with gold on it.
If your furniture is anything but white...i'd do a goldish-taupe? Like these, these drapes come in white as well as the goldish color I am thinking:

You can get sheers or anything you want but then double line it with insulated, black out drapes. Our curtain rod has 2 rods. One inner one for blackouts, and an outer one for drapes of our choice.
oh! Or you could do white on the outside edges and different gold colored drapes inside like this picture:

@BB@TheSwissWifeStyle: hmm, that is intriguing. I feel like it would make our bedroom feel like a boutique hotel. That could be nice, I do worry that it could make the room look small.
