We're going to dinner at a friend's house and she asked me to bring a salad. I'm thinking about making a spinach, apple, goat cheese salad with nuts and a vinagrette. But, I could be open to another idea.
What's your favorite salad?

My go to salad is chicken cesar. But I also like recreating the olive garden salad, or trying my own recipes, anything with lots of cheese is good. I do not like nuts or fruit in my salad.

@Mrsbells: caesar salad is my go to too! A family friend made this awesome salad the other week and it was made with spinach, a variety of fruits (mandarin oranges, pomegrante seeds, sliced strawberries) and topped with walnuts. The dressing was light, but flavorful.

Your salad sounds delicious to me! I also think blueberries, mandarin oranges, and chopped bacon would be a nice addition!

My fave is mixed greens with cucumbers, tomatoes, sliced avocado and croutons in a citrus vinegrette. Yum.

My fave is just greens, purple onions, tomato, cucumber, feta, bacon pieces, and lo mein noodles.
I made this salad and brought to a pot luck. The guys that don't normally eat veggies even liked it.

@MaisyMay: I usually throw in dried cranberries or fresh strawberries instead of apples, but otherwise that's pretty much my perfect salad.

I want all of these salads. I love a mixture of veggies, cheese, nuts, legumes (usually chick peas) and something sweet to set it all off.

Your salad sounds good.
I like Mediteranean/Greek salad, Thai salad with peanut sauce, and Fuji apple salad by Panera bread.

This might sound weird, but the deli area at Super Target has the most delicious salads! Tonight I had one with goat cheese, strawberries, blueberries, chicken and poppyseed dressing, and it was all of good quality--the fruit is never raunchy and the lettuce is always crisp.

OMG Ceasar Salad. I could eat that stuff from now until the day I die! I even judge places on that salad and demanded we have it at our wedding... darn it. Now I want a ceasar salad!

I ended up making a salad of various greens, diced apple, mandarin orange, 2 types of cheese, a vinagrette and wonton strips. It was devoured! Thanks for your help ladies.
