I'm looking for a new pair of sneakers for my lo. Her Nike's are falling apart. She is HARD on shoes! We're in size 6 right now.

Right now she has Stride Rites. We probably should move up a size, though, and I don't know what we'll get. She's not hard on shoes, so we better have another girl at some point to make these shoes worth the price!

He has a pair of Osh-Kosh and a pair of Stride-Rite. He hasn't worn the O-K yet so I can't speak of the quality. I love the S-R, I'm going to be sad when he outgrows them.

Saucony right now.
When we went to get these shoes, the salesman offered to glue my son's other sneakers with contact cement, they were that bad.

See Kai Run-- they're having a 50% sale right now on their website.

@looch: M's toes are popping through the mesh part at the top of the shoe. Boo.
@Beebug: @looch: @autumnlove: @LuLu Mom: where do you buy them? I was at Kohl's today and they had some Nike's but they just seemed to be very poor quality. I'd rather spend $40 on a pair that is sturdy than $32 on a pair that I'm not sure about.
She wears sneakers EVERY.SINGLE.DAY right now because she refuses to wear the cute boots I bought her and pulls off any dress shoes. Damn ornery toddlers.

She's in Puma sneakers right now, and loves them, currently on her 2nd pair. She wears boots from Stride rite and Zara most days, she looooves her boots. I bought her some See Kai Run sneakers and she hates them... full on meltdown when I put them on her... so I don't bother with them anymore.

She has a pair of SR that I got her at a thrift store. They are 5.5 and just fit her now (though I am sort of surprised by that). Her other hand me down sneakers are sketchers and I hate them. She wears her fake Ugg boots nearly everyday. Best $14 at Target I have ever spent!
I hope to not buy her new shoes again until the spring/summer.

@mediagirl: I don't know, sorry I have an inside UA connection and they are just given to us by the heap! They start at size 5 and my girlie is a 3/4 right now but she walks great in them! They have held up great, but yah....quick google search and I couldn't find anything near as small as we have!

I got them at a local shoe store, but I am ordering a second pair via zappos. I like to go to the store for fit checks but I feel guilty not buying from there.

New Balance! I tried See Kai Runs based on raves on here, but the shipping was SO slow, and when they finally arrived they were WAY too wide!

@mediagirl: I got her's at a local Von Maur, but I've gotten past sneakers at Kohl's & JCPennys!

LO is currently wearing puma. I like Stride Rites the best, but they run a bit small. With my luck LO always outgrows them within two months.

Keen. Love them. My kids wear them daily and they still look new. And I really like the combo of velcro and stretch laces, so even if they pull the velcro tab up, the shoes stay on.

@MerryC: Keen seems to be the shoe of choice among the kids in our neighborhood after age 2. We may try those next.

@Weagle: Yeah, I think they are more popular for slightly older tots. My kids have been in them since they started walking at 11-12 mo, size 4. But there are a lot more options and some better lacing designs once you hit around size 8 I think.

Stride rites are our favorite...so well made, stays on her feet so well and are super sturdy. She never trips in them...they just for her feet great.
We have a hand me down pair of new balance sneakers and they are SUPER durable...they are more bulky but they are super sturdy shoes great for walking around in uneven ground (unpaved, rocky, etc)
