I put #2 down drowsy but awake from the beginning so she knew how to fall asleep on her own right away.

Waking him up to feed every 2 hours during the day in the beginning! He organized his days and nights very quickly which helped all of us sleep better.

Lots!
Many things that made breastfeeding successful with P but not with G.
Not sleep training P... I wish I wouldn't have "trained" G.
Co-bedding
Babywearing
All things that I think have done alot different for P that were different for G.

@Andrea: @chopsuey: def have to do drowsy but awake with 2. I just didn't know with 1 and I swear its why we had so many sleepy woes.

I pumped from the very beginning and built a huge stash with #2.
With my first, I didn't pump unless I had to be away so really only pumped enough to replace a feeding or two. I like knowing I have plenty of backup milk if I need it.

i breastfed Olive and exclusively pumped with Charlie. it has had an immeasurable effect on our relationship because she's still going at 23 months (even though I want to wean!).

@Mrs. High Heels: I didn't start pumping until like a week before I went back to work-huge mistake. Def starting earlier this time! @Mrs. Bee: I have been trying to wean my 12 month old but he isn't having any part of it!

@matador84: i wish i had weaned her sooner (before 18 months), but there was always an excuse -- sick, starting daycare, traveling.... and now that she can talk, it has become even worse! i know it's going to be extremely difficult to wean....

@matador84: that's exactly what happened with my first! I didn't go back to work til she was 7 months so by then my supply was already established and it was near impossible to build a stash!

I haven't sleep trained my baby girl. I regret doing that with my son. (But if I hadn't, our little girl might not be with us today LOL). I think I am more in tune with and willing to accommodate the baby's needs this time.
