Awwww That's so sweet!
My cord was too short to place DD on my chest so my doctor started to give a dissertation about how he was going to delay cord cutting and the benefits of it. All I could hear was blah blah blah and think "give me my baby already!". He also said that it was the first "Willa" he had ever delivered.

@Mrsdaredevil: my doctor said the same - and we had similar births, sunny side up babies! hehe
I also remember her asking me if I heard my baby cry - I didn't

'he's not as big as i thought! let's put him back in' to which i replied NO! lol

wow, that's a lot of hair! for the girl.
looks like there's going to be another surgeon in the family - my son grabbed a bovie (sp?) on his way out.
edit: well, those were said after, "just a few more minutes" cuz i was SO cold and freezing and kept trying to move.

I don't remember and it's probably a good thing. DS wasn't breathing when he came out and from what my husband said it was a tense moment. I was too busy throwing up to even notice what was going on.

My doctor said "here's your baby!!!!!" and held her up, and then told me I looked "shell shocked" LOL I was; I just gave birth to another human being. I was totally shell shocked.

No idea. I was in a state of shock from fear since I had a c-section. I only remember a few things from my delivery and they almost all had to do with the actual procedure, not the baby.

I was the chatty one. I was suddenly in the best mood of my life. I think I said "Wow, that's a relief." And then I think I laughingly said "It's a cone head!" and my doc said "yes, it definitely is a cone head!"

My first DD... I don't remember exactly, but she said I did an amazing job and she guessed that DD was 8 lbs before she was weighed. She was just 0.4 oz off, so she guessed right!
My 2nd DD... I remember more clearly, sorta. I pushed DD2 out after two pushes, without any meds, and after the doc met me just 15 mins prior... She said I was "made to have babies".

I can't remember the exact words but it was something along the lines of prodding my DH to check out the gender! When DD was born, DH was the one to grab her and put her on my chest, but we were so much in awe, we forgot to move the umbilical cord that had been hanging between her legs to see if she was a girl or a boy!
I also remember the midwife saying as she was crowning that she had a full head of dark hair, which made me so happy as I really wanted a baby with hair!

I don't even remember. I was just so relieved to have the baby out! A few minutes later we started talking about how many deliveries he had that day and what his record was.

My midwife was able to assist in my csection and was the one to pull DS out. The first thing she said was: "He's peeing on me, T! He's peeing on me!" hahaha I'll never forget it!
