Looking at the list of popular US websites... the only one I know for sure will be around is Wikipedia:

Maybe also IMDB. Basically anything that involves a database of valuable data I see having a long lifetime. Everything else feels kind of transient to me.

I think websites that are part of a larger offline company will also stay popular. For instance ESPN pretty much owns sports in America so I think their website will remain really popular. There was a recent article in BusinessWeek that discussed ESPN.

I think that anything not social media has a chance. FB, Tumblr, Twitter, Pinterest, etc... they'll be gone. I also think outdated companies like MSN and AOL will be gone.

@mrbee: I guess. I just don't have a lot of faith that anything currently popular on the Internet can survive that long. 20 years is a lot of time.
ETA: I think we could have something LIKE Wikipedia, or Wikipedia in a different incarnation.

I think Google and Amazon will still be around. I suspect most of the social sites will be replaced by the next best thing.
