C is obsessed with this bottle of lemon juice and always asks for it. We finally decided to just let her have a taste, figuring she wouldn't like it and would stop asking. She ate a whole teaspoon and smiled and said "more please!" She ate another teaspoon before we cut her off.

DD loves cream of spinach and can eat it everyday. I don't really like it so I always order it from a local restaurant for her. She loves it.

They both dip EVERYTHING in hummus. Today they were eating hummus covered strawberries. They'll dip everything in it, even pizza or pickles!

DD has been REALLY into olives lately, she would eat an entire container if we let her.

DS doesn't do it any more but at one point he went crazy for grapefruit dipped in hummus. So disgusting!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: pizza dipped in hummus actually sounds really yummy!!

@Rubies: She hates regular pickles? She's definitely your daughter!

@mrbee: Noooo~~ I LOVE pickles and olives and I, too, used to drink pickle juice. It's just regular cucumbers that freak me out.

@littlebug: mine too! He dips mango into ketchup! Everything!

Plain beans, almost any kind. Black beans, pinto beans, white beans, kidney beans, also chickpeas. She doesn't need sauce on them or anything.

She puts grape jelly on Salmon.
She loves it and will eat a ton. Its maybe a tiny teaspoon of jelly to a couple solid ounces of fish.

DD (5yo) loves sardines and anchovies; she asked DH for a bite around 2yo he didn't think she'd like them but she loves them. Both DS and DD love hot sauce.

@stargal: yeah, DS eats butter and drinks half and half! Like at restaurants we have to hide the little half and half containers from him! (We do let him have a couple, though). At Trader Joe's I always pour him a little cup (like maybe .5 oz?) of half and half from the coffee station… I hope they don't think I'm insane! I figure 2 year-old brains can still use the fat…

@stargal: LOL that's so funny! My DD only eats Mac N Cheese with lots of butter in it.

DD is big fan if frozen broccoli. She doesn't want it fresh or cooked or prepared in any way. She just wants to chomp on frozen chunks of broccoli right from the freezer.

Asparagus. Maybe not THAT weird but I think its sort of weird that my 14 mo's favorite food is asparagus!

She loves butter. If we give her buttered bread with a slice of ham, she'll take it apart and just lick the butter. She also loves pickles (it's also her favorite word). And she has an endless pit of a stomach for crayfish and shrimp.

@stargal: @MoonMoon: We should start a butter loving toddler group I have to hide when I cook with butter or DD will whine for a slice.

We've always offered, and he's always refused, but last night, DS slurped sauerkraut down and asked for more! I'm so tickled. He also loves kombucha.

@SugarplumsMom: yes! My LO can even distinguish now, he'll say butter or Earth Balance depending on what I get out of the fridge, lol.

Fried pork skins. DH got her eating those things. She calls them "scales".

@Mamaof2: LOL the other day we were having a bbq but forgot the burgers. DD wanted the hamburger bun and after we gave it to her she asked if she could have ketchup on it. Ummm gross, no!!
My 3 year old loves pickles and olives. So weird because I didn't like any of these foods until I was in my 20s!

@purrpletulips: my son (2.5) loves sardines and other salty fish, too. He also often requests plain sea salt and will eat little bits of that in between bites of other food. I'm guessing he knows what his body needs...

Hmm I don't think those are so weird! I'm Chinese so I think it's normal fare but others might think it's weird that her favorite food are fish balls and fish tofu.
