Hellobee Boards

For many years I was a Skier, because it was always snowing by Oct 31 and my mom wouldn't let us leave the house without wearing a snowsuit.

The only one I can really remember is the year my mom sewed me a beautiful princess dress. We went to a community dinner where I ate a hot dog and managed to spill ketchup all over the front of the dress. So I decided I would be a zombie princess that year, haha.

One of my favorites was a homemade peacock costume with a full tail of real feathers... my brother was dressed as a native American and kept pretending to "hunt" me all night!

Let's see.... Cabbage patch kid (mask), Raggedy Ann, Smurfette (mask), a bum (I didn't have a costume so my mom dressed me up as a bum), a korean doll, detective (again, no costume so my mom made me put on her trench coat and sunglasses). Come to think of it, my mom hardly ever let me buy any costumes!

I usually had to be either what my dance costume or birthday party theme was. So :

First Halloween: princess
2nd: pea pod
3rd: clown
4th-15th: witch
16th: hippy
17th: clown

I don't remember most but I do remember being an Indian one year and I thought that I was so cool, cause I had a leather sling to carry my baby doll in. Also I was a lady bug one year.

I was snow white for a few years and pocahontas for another year. I don't recall what else I was other than those two because my mom made my costume. I think I stopped dressing up in 5th grade.

My mom made our costumes every year (which is why I try to make my girls' outfits, too) and some of them were SO BAD but I wanted to be weird things and my mom tried her best. The most famously bad one I had was a dolphin.

The two I remember the most: a bunch of grapes, which involved pinning a bajillion purple balloons to my shirt. Not the most practical! And a tube of toothpaste - I loved that one! I wore a lampshade on my head as the lid

My sister and I were a pair of dice one year, I was cupid, a scarecrow, a devil, a vampire, a ladybug, a cheerleader, I was a cowgirl a couple of times, I was a black cat a few times too, a witch.

I was a duck, Wonder Woman, a princess, Barbie and the Rockers, a ghostbuster.... those are the only ones I really remember. My mom hand-made all of our costumes. They were awesome.

@Mrs. Bee: Funny enough one of the most memorable was when my mom sewed matching bee costumes for me and my brother! We were pretty darn cute : )

I was a bear for like 5 years in a row... I was also Princess Jasmine (from Aladdin) and The Mask (from that Jim Carey movie). My senior year in high school I dressed up as my friend's shadow.
