we won't leave anything out this year. DD is going through a cookie phase and will likely be PISSED if we leave cookies out!!

@sorrycharlie: haha coke is good! You don't want to know what Santa liked when I was little

We leave out carrots for the reindeer and milk and cookies for Santa.
@sorrycharlie: haha! I would just put the cookies back in the jar and dump the drink out. That's what we did last year.

whatever my husband and I want to eat later my husband has suggested we leave out a glass of whiskey for Santa, since he's out in the cold all night!
We'll do decorated sugar cookies (decorate them earlier in the day, since I have the day off work) and carrots for the reindeer.

@sorrycharlie: hahaha DD would be pissed!! I love that. My lo currently has an obsession with NOT putting "her" food away. "No drow my food away!"
We will put out cookies and milk and a carrot for rudolph!! Oh, this is the first year she may "get" it so now I'm really excited!!

Cookies and milk for Santa, and carrots for the reindeer. But this year we're also leaving out LO's pacifiers. Santa is going to take them for the new babies who need them, since he's a "big boy."

My sister and I used to leave a bottle (or 2) of beer, an orange, some nuts and chocolate - dad said Santa would want this
I'm prone to carry on this tradition....

Since LO is too young to help me bake cookies this year we'll probably do Oreos. Next year we'll bake cookies on Christmas Eve.

@yoursilverlining: I thought I would be the first to suggest whiskey!
Cookies and milk, although I'm sure LO will eat one or all and now I am just wondering if it's a bad idea.
I noticed when I was a kid Santa always are the. cookies but returned the carrots we left out for the reindeer to the fridge.

Last year we left peanut butter cookies and milk. Carrots and apples outside for the reindeer. The reindeer made a horrible mess.
This year I think the reindeer will get reindeer food!

We probably won't do anything this year because she only sort of gets it. But next year, milk, cookies and reindeer food (dog kibble with crushed candy canes in it)

We'll take a 'doggy bag' of desserts from Christmas Eve at my dads. So will more than likely some sort of sugar cookie and maybe a cup cake. Defiantly with a glass of milk!!

@SeptMomma12: lol, that's hilarious (but brilliant). I should do that with LOs bottles. She's ok with sippy cups most of the time, but she always wants a bottle of milk in the morning.

Nothing this year because ds is too young to care. Growing up we always left santa a beer. Dads suggestion

@78h2o: We'll see how it works! Right now he's talking a big game about giving his pacis to Santa and getting big boy presents (Thomas trains), but I have a feeling that will be forgotten at bedtime that night
